Aqui de nuevo, y esta vez con mas aves, mas flores, mas fotos de la preciosa naturaleza Colombiana!!

The banana? Very cheap!! The enjoyment all the birds coming to eat from it brings? Priceless!!!
El banano? Bien barato!! El gozo que todos los pajaros que vienen a comer de el brindan? No tiene precio!!!

Different colors, shapes, sizes, but each and all of them as lovely as the last one!!
Colores, formas, tamanos diferentes, pero todos y cada uno de ellos tan adorable como el anterior!!

For sure a bird of prey, maybe a hawk or falcon?
Un ave rapaz seguro, talvez un gavilan o halcon?

Colombia is the country with the largest number of different kind of orchids in the world, 4,270 with 1,572 of them being native, and here you have one of them!!
Locally called "little shoe", is also known as "The Virgin shoe".
Colombia es el pais con el mayor numero de diferentes clases de orquideas en el mundo, 4,270 con 1,572 autoctonas, y aqui tienen una de ellas!!
Localmente llamada "zapatico", es tambien conocida como "El zapato de la Virgen".  
 

As I mentioned before, Colombia leads the world in avian biodiversity; it's home to 1.889 species, or 20% of all bird species on Earth!! And more than 75 species are unique to Colombia, this one not included, LOL!!
Como mencione antes, Colombia es el lider mundial en biodiversidad aviaria; es el hogar de 1.889 especies, o 20% de todas las especies de aves en la Tierra!! Y mas de 75 especies son exclusivas de Colombia, este no incluido, jajaja!!
  

John for sure would enjoy there, he loved roosters and this one was an spectacular one!!

And I know Colombia is also very well known for its fighting roosters, but this one belongs to a nice family that is using it just as a beautiful addition to the other animals they have!!
I se que Colombia tambien es bien conocida por sus gallos de pelea, pero este pertenece a una familia muy agradable que solo lo usa como una hermosa adicion a los otros animales que tienen!!

With places like this one, how not to consider this country blessed by nature?!!!
Con lugares como este, como no considerar este pais bendecido por la naturaleza?!!!

Something interesting about them: Normally with white plumage and a yellow bill and legs, during the breeding season adults develop orange-buff plumes on the back, breast and crown, and the bill, legs and irises become bright red for a brief period prior to pairing!!
Algo interesante sobre ellas: Normalmente con plumaje blanco y pico y patas amarillas, durante la temporada de apareamiento los adultos desarollan una coloracion anaranjada en las plumas de la espalda, cuello y cresta, y el pico, patas e irises se tornan rojo brillante por un corto periodo de tiempo antes de emparejarse!!

Colombia has the largest number of endemic species (species that aren't found naturally anywhere else) worldwide. About 10% of the species in the world live in Colombia.  It feels great to know that Colombia is also known for its spectacular fauna!!
Colombia tiene el mayor numero de especies endemicas (especies que no se encuentran naturalmente en ninguna otra parte) del mundo. Mas o menos 10% de las especies del mundo viven en Colombia. Es grandioso saber que Colombia tambien es conocida por su fauna espectacular!!

Who hadn't desired to fly like a bird? I suppose all of us at least once in our lives!!
Quien no ha deseado volar como un pajaro? Me supongo que todos nosotros al menos una vez en nuestras vidas!!

We humans should be more like birds still singing after the storm, delighting in whatever remains!!
Nosotros los humanos deberiamos ser mas como los pajaros que siguen cantando despues de la tormenta, deleitandose con lo que quedo!!

We are so fortunate to have so many species that in some regions you can find in just one tree more species than in a whole forest in a country with seasons, just imagine that!!!
Somos tan afortunados de tener tantas especies que en algunas regiones se puede encontrar en un solo arbol mas clases de orquideas que en un bosque entero de un pais con estaciones, solo imaginenselo!!!

Don't know the name of many of the birds (this one included!), but don't care, just enjoyed looking and hearing them singing!! And the plant behind, that I know, is a Colombian coffee plant!!
No se el nombre de muchos de los pajaros (este incluido), pero no me importa, simplemente disfrute mirandoles y escuchandoles cantar!! Y la planta detras, esa si la se, es una mata de cafe Colombiano!!

The region I come from is known by its orchids, and here you have a precious sample!!
La region de donde vengo es conocida por sus orquideas, y aqui tienen un precioso ejemplar!!

These ones made me feel like a girl again, I remember these ones since I was very very little!!
Estas me hicieron sentir como una nina de nuevo, las recuerdo desde que era muy muy pequena!!

And these ones, even being from a "common" family flower, I think it was the first time I saw them!!
Y estas, aunque son de una familia de flores "comun", creo que fue la primera vez que las vi!!

Did you know that Colombia has the largest bird list of any country on earth?!!! This is a mockingbird who can sing for hours and hours!!!
Sabian que Colombia tiene la lista de pajaros mas larga de cualquier pais en el mundo?!!! Este es un sinsonte que puede cantar por horas y horas!!!

It's good to share, for them .... and for me that was able to take the picture of 2 very different kind of birds!! The red one was spectacular!!

As my friend says, "Isn't it better to give them some banana and enjoy their singing and beauty being wild instead of in a cage?" and I completely agree!!
Como dice mi amiga, "No es mejor darles banano y disfrutar sus cantos y belleza estando libres en vez de en una jaula?" Y yo estoy completamente de acuerdo!!

Natalia's Sweet 15!! - Los 15 de Natalia!!

Time was flying and almost one week after I arrived my oldest grand-niece, Natalia, celebrated her Sweet 15!! She was gorgeous and I'm sure you'll agree with me!!
El tiempo pasaba volando y casi una semana despues de llegar mi sobrina-nieta mayor, Natalia, celebro sus 15 anos!! Estaba preciosa y estoy segura estaran de acuerdo conmigo!!

Jan. 30, 2016 I left Vancouver to go to Colombia, and one month later, March 1st., here I'm posting some pictures from my trip!!
