And for me, it was fantastic to be there, how not to be amaze visiting with some people that are like family to me and with all that beauty around?!!!

Y para mi, fue fantastico estar alli, como no estar maravillada visitando algunas personas que son como familia para mi y con toda esa belleza alrededor?!!!

My first day visiting them and delighted with a "not so hot" weather!!

Don't know the name of many of the birds (this one included!), but don't care, just enjoyed looking and hearing them singing!! And the plant behind, that I know, is a Colombian coffee plant!!
No se el nombre de muchos de los pajaros (este incluido), pero no me importa, simplemente disfrute mirandoles y escuchandoles cantar!! Y la planta detras, esa si la se, es una mata de cafe Colombiano!!

The region I come from is known by its orchids, and here you have a precious sample!!
La region de donde vengo es conocida por sus orquideas, y aqui tienen un precioso ejemplar!!

These ones made me feel like a girl again, I remember these ones since I was very very little!!
Estas me hicieron sentir como una nina de nuevo, las recuerdo desde que era muy muy pequena!!

And these ones, even being from a "common" family flower, I think it was the first time I saw them!!
Y estas, aunque son de una familia de flores "comun", creo que fue la primera vez que las vi!!

Did you know that Colombia has the largest bird list of any country on earth?!!! This is a mockingbird who can sing for hours and hours!!!
Sabian que Colombia tiene la lista de pajaros mas larga de cualquier pais en el mundo?!!! Este es un sinsonte que puede cantar por horas y horas!!!
  

This one wasn't enjoying the banana, but I was for sure enjoying looking at it!!
Este no estaba disfrutando del banano, pero yo seguro que si estaba disfrutando mirandolo!!

It's good to share, for them .... and for me that was able to take the picture of 2 very different kind of birds!! The red one was spectacular!!
Esta muy bien el compartir, para ellos .... y para mi que pude tomar la foto de 2 pajaros bien diferentes!! El rojo estaba espectacular!!

Guatape dam, very dry with the hot weather of the last months, but beautiful anyway!!
La represa de Guatape, muy seca con el verano de los ultimos meses, pero hermosa de todas formas!!

Not as big as the ones at the supermarket, but as delicious as the one we got!!
No tan grandes como los del supermercado, pero tan deliciosos como el que conseguimos!!

And this one was my favorite bird, I was amaze when I saw it!!
According to a picture I googled, its name is Highland Motmot, but for the people there is "Loneliness"!!!

De acuerdo a una foto que mire en google, su nombre es Relojero Montanero, pero para la gente de alli es "Soledad"!!!

As my friend says, "Isn't it better to give them some banana and enjoy their singing and beauty being wild instead of in a cage?" and I completely agree!!
Como dice mi amiga, "No es mejor darles banano y disfrutar sus cantos y belleza estando libres en vez de en una jaula?" Y yo estoy completamente de acuerdo!!

Natalia's Sweet 15!! - Los 15 de Natalia!!

Time was flying and almost one week after I arrived my oldest grand-niece, Natalia, celebrated her Sweet 15!! She was gorgeous and I'm sure you'll agree with me!!
El tiempo pasaba volando y casi una semana despues de llegar mi sobrina-nieta mayor, Natalia, celebro sus 15 anos!! Estaba preciosa y estoy segura estaran de acuerdo conmigo!!

She asked for the female guests to be wearing white or black, it was good Pilar chose white, I only brought this one!!
Ella pidio que las invitadas vistieran blanco o negro, que bien que Pilar escogio blanco, yo solo lleve este!!

Jan. 30, 2016 I left Vancouver to go to Colombia, and one month later, March 1st., here I'm posting some pictures from my trip!!
Enero 30, 2016 sali de Vancouver para ir a Colombia, y un mes mas tarde, el 1ro. de Marzo, aqui estoy bajando algunas fotos de mi viaje!!

I think it's Mt. Rainier, Washington. From the airplane flying from Vancouver (30 minutes after leaving Vancouver) to Los Angeles.
Creo que es Monte Rainier, Washington. Desde el avion volando desde Vancouver (30 minutos despues de salir de Vancouver) hacia Los Angeles.
 

The highest mountain in Washington State, and even so gorgeous, is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world!!
La montana mas alta en el estado de Washington, y aunque tan espectacular, es considerado uno de los mas peligrosos volcanes en el mundo!!

January 20 2016 and I already have plenty of pictures to share!!

Do you remember the chocolates Lula and I had for Christmas? The one who prepared them gave me the  recipe and a couple days after the year began, I prepared them!!
Recuerdan los chocolates que Lula y yo disfrutamos en Navidad? La que los preparo me dio la receta y un par de dias despues de que el ano comenzo, los prepare!!
 

And for sure they were good, I told my sister I'll prepare them with her once in Colombia!!
Y pueden estar seguros que estaban deliciosos, le dije a mi hermana que los preparare con ella una vez en Colombia!!
 

After all were covered, 15 more minutes in the fridge and ready to be enjoyed!!
Luego de que todos estuvieron cubiertos, 15 minutos mas en la nevera y listos para ser disfrutados!!

7:45 a.m., before leaving to go to work and still a little "dark"!!
La manana siguiente, sin escarcha pero con nieve, y con la telarana menos visible!!
7:45 a.m., antes de salir para ir a trabajar y aun un poco "oscuro"!!

It was a Monday, and as I had 1 hour lunch break, went to a lot across the street and took some pictures with the "best" snow of the season .... until now!!!
And from here down, all pictures were taken with the camera I normally have in my purse, the one I'm planning to take to Colombia!!
Fue un lunes, y como tuve 1 hora para almorzar, me fui a un lote al otro lado de la calle y tome varias fotos con la "mejor" nevada de la temporada .... hasta ahora!!!
Y de aqui para abajo, todas las fotos las tome con la camara que normalmente mantengo en mi bolso, la que planeo llevar a Colombia!!

 

The random forms are breathtakingly beautiful and are here only for a brief moment in time so let's be sure to look around when conditions are in favor for them to form!!!
Las formas que se forman al azar son de una belleza impresionante y estan aqui por un breve momento en el tiempo asi que aseguremonos de mirar alrededor para verlas cuando las condiciones son propicias!!!

In addition to the snow, there is something in this one that I just love it!!
Ademas de la nieve, esta tiene algo que simplemente me fascina!!

Everything happens at the right moment, as with this fence and "hanging" branch that didn't need to do much, just to be there for the snow to stick to them and create this beauty!!!

Sure I prefer snow, but frost also makes things to look prettier, don't you agree?!!
Seguro que prefiero la nieve, pero la escarcha tambien hace lucir las cosas aun mas hermosas, no estan de acuerdo?!!

The beauty of frost is worth another look. It can make "common" objects to look beautiful as these "flowers" show!!
La belleza de la escarcha vale la pena mirarla dos veces. Puede hacer de objetos "comunes" lucir preciosos como lo demuestran estas "flores"!!
 

Snow, frost, whatever the conditions, let's just stop for a moment, let's take a second look and appreciate the beauty around!!
