Between flowers and birds!! - Entre flores y pajaros!!

Some days before my citizenship oath I got these tulips, that even with some yellow, were mainly red and white, the colors I wanted!!
Algunos dias antes de mi juramento de ciudadania consegui estos tulipanes, que aunque con algo de amarillo, eran mas blancos y rojos, los colores que queria!!

And my favorite flowers anyway!!
Y de todas formas, mis flores favoritas!!

I'm sure I'll never get tired of their beauty!!
Estoy segura que nunca me cansare de su belleza!!
 

It is said that flowers feed the soul, and I have no difficulty in believing this!!
Se dice que las flores son el alimento del alma, y yo no tengo dificultad alguna en creermelo!!

After a couple of days their flower heads open and is then when we can enjoy a beautiful sight like this one!!
Luego de un par de dias se abren y es entonces cuando podemos disfrutar de una hermosa vision como esta!!
 

The delight they give me is surely wonderful!!
El deleite que me dan seguro que es maravilloso!!

And now the roses, 12 red, 12 white, a gift from my Landlord's family!! They had them for me the day of my citizenship oath!!
Y ahora las rosas, 12 rojas, 12 blancas, un regalo de la familia duena de la casa!! Ellos me las tenian el dia de mi juramento de ciudadania!!

There is so much beauty in flowers, I just need to post my pictures and hope all of you will see it!!
Hay tanta belleza en las flores, yo solo necesito bajar mis fotos y esperar que todos ustedes la puedan ver!!

With its colors, shape and scent, how not to be amaze with their beauty?!!
Con sus colores, formas y fragancia, como no maravillarnos con su belleza?!!

And these ones, the first 2 dozens, are getting dried, will use the petals for a potpourri!!
Y estas, las primeras 2 docenas, las tengo secando, usare los petalos para un potpourri!!

Y ahora otras 2 docenas que yo consegui unos dias mas tarde!!

They are really pretty as well, love the red ones that look like velvet!!
Estas tambien son muy bonitas, adoro las rojas que parecen de terciopelo!!

These ones are also drying now, but the whole roses, not the petals!!
Estas tambien se estan secando ahora, pero las rosas completas, no los petalos!!

And here I finish with the roses, hope you enjoy them as I did having them beautifing my place!!
Y aqui termino con las rosas, espero las disfruten tanto como yo cuando las tuve adornando mi casa!!

Ahora, algunos pajaros que aunque "comunes", no los veo mucho y por supuesto, no puedo tomarles fotos muy frecuentemente!!

A Steller's Jay, that after my citizenship oath, when they gave me a book about Canada, I learned this is the symbolic bird of British Columbia!!
Un arrendajo azul o urraca azul, que luego de mi juramento de ciudadania, cuando me dieron un libro sobre Canada, descubri que es el pajaro simbolo de Columbia Britanica!!

I think is a juvenile American Robin, but I'm not completely sure. Anyway, a beautiful bird!!
Creo que es un pechirojo americano juvenil, pero no estoy completamente segura. De todas formas, un hermoso pajaro!!

Here you have Anna, the mom of my very good friend Lula, the oldest woman in B.C., and the third in Canada, celebrating her 111 birthday (April the 2nd.)!!!
She is in pretty good condition for her age, don't talk anymore, but has her moments when she still recognizes people, and that day she was pretty awake and enjoying her party!!
Aqui tienen a Anna, la mama de mi muy buena amiga Lula, la mujer de mas edad en British Columbia, y la tercera en Canada, celebrando su 111 cumpleanos (2 de Abril)!!!
Esta en muy buena condicion para su edad, ya no habla, pero aun tiene sus momentos en los que reconoce a la gente, y ese dia estaba bien despierta y disfrutando de su fiesta!!

This was the way she was looking when Lula and I arrived.
Asi lucia cuando Lula y yo llegamos.  

After Lula did her hair, with new clothes, and a beautiful corsage that Lula made for her too!!
Luego de que Lula le arreglo el cabello, con ropa nueva, y un hermoso corsage (el ramillete) que Lula tambien le hizo!!

I don't know about you, but I wish I could look like her ..... even at 90, if I arrive to that age!!!
No se ustedes, pero yo quisiera lucir como ella ..... aun a mis 90, si llego a esa edad!!!

There are 6 generations, and these two young women are from the 4th. or 5th., cannot remember!!
Son 6 generaciones, y estas 2 jovenes son de la 4ta. o la 5ta., no lo recuerdo!!

She is from Norway, and some people there was saying that maybe she's so strong because she could has some viking's blood in her veins!!!
Es de Noruega, y algunas personas alli estaban diciendo que a lo mejor es tan fuerte porque podria tener algo de sangre vikinga en sus venas!!

Something that amaze me is her hair, look how strong and how much she has, don't think too many people even some years younger than her have such good hair!!
Algo que me asombra es su pelo, miren que tan fuerte y cuanto tiene, no creo que mucha gente aun unos anos mas joven que ella tengan un pelo tan saludable!!
 

A lot of "important" people (like the Governor General, the Premier, and the Mayor between others) sent her congratulations and some of them sent flowers too, these ones included!!
Muchas personas "importantes" (como el Gobernador General (representante de la Reina en Canada), la Gobernadora (de British Columbia), y la Alcaldesa entre otros) la mandaron felicitar y algunos tambien enviaron flores, estas incluidas!!
   

She lives in a very nice retirement house and they prepared the cake, it was really delicious!!
Vive en una residencia de retiro muy agradable y alli le prepararon el pastel, que estaba delicioso!!

And here Lula, giving her a piece of cake that she really enjoyed, had 2 pieces!!
Y aqui tienen a Lula, dandole un pedazo de pastel que realmente disfruto, se comio 2 pedazos!!

And more flowers, that I don't know if they left them in her room!!
Y mas flores, que no se si le dejaron en su cuarto!!

I told Lula that I don't know if she knew (was conscious)  it was her birthday, but I'm sure she enjoyed!!
Le dije a Lula que no sabia si ella supo (estaba consciente) que era su cumpleanos, pero estoy segura que lo disfruto!!

She loves teddy bears and I think one of her granddaughters gave her this one!!
Le encantan los osos de peluche y creo que una de sus nietas le dio este!!

Enjoying Spring!! - Disfrutando la Primavera!!

2 months after the last one, but the important thing is that I'm here again!!
Very busy and not in the mood or very tired, but I'll try to continue posting them more frequently, even if that means not writing about most of them!!
2 meses despues del ultimo, pero lo importante es que aqui estoy de nuevo!!
Muy ocupada y sin animo o muy cansada, pero tratare de seguir bajando mas frecuentemente, asi eso signifique que no escriba sobre la mayoria de ellas!!

Marina, Deas Island - Marina, Isla Deas.

Last Sunday I went to clean a little inside the boat, and coming back stopped at Deas Island, a regional park that I wanted to go since some time ago, and that day, even I arrived there at 5:00 p.m., I decided to stay and enjoy it at least for a little while.
Saw eagles everywhere, and the sunset was just spectacular, I know you will agree with me after seeing the pictures!!
It was a wonderful afternoon, how not to be grateful being able to enjoy so much beauty around?!!
And also the best "medicine" I can have right now, inspiring me and helping me to have better health, not only for my body, for my soul as well!!
El pasado domingo fui a limpiar un poco dentro del velero, y regresando pare en la Isla Deas, un parque regional que queria ir desde hacia ya algun tiempo, y ese dia, aunque llegue alli a las 5:00 p.m., decidi quedarme y disfrutar al menos por un rato.
Vi aguilas por todas partes, y el atardecer fue simplemente espectacular, se que estaran de acuerdo conmigo apenas vean las fotos!!
Fue una tarde maravillosa , como no estar agradecida pudiendo disfrutar de tanta belleza alrededor?!!
Y tambien la mejor "medicina" que puedo tener en este momento, inspirandome y ayudandome a tener una mejor salud, no solo para mi cuerpo, para mi alma tambien!!

Just arriving to the marina and saw this eagle flying towards a sailboat near by. Took this one with the "old" camera.
Apenas llegando a la marina y vi esta aguila volando hacia un velero que estaba cerca. Tome esta con la camara "vieja".

"What are you looking at?" seems to be saying. Love the eyes, and look at the claws!!
"Que estas mirando?" parece estar diciendo. Me encantan los ojos, y miren las garras!!

It looks like they were placed there, but no, they are really growing there!!
Luce como si los hubieran colocado ahi, pero no, realmente estan creciendo ahi!!

It wasn't a very warm day, and it seems these ducks were feeling it too!!
No fue un dia muy calido, y parece que estos patos tambien lo estaban sintiendo asi!!

But nature seems to think that spring is here!!
Pero la naturaleza parece pensar que la primavera ya esta aqui!!

American robins are a sign to many people that spring has arrived, and this day they were everywhere, even spring will officially arrive March 20!!!
Los petirrojos americanos son para mucha gente signo de que la primavera ha llegado, y ese dia estaban por todas partes, aunque primavera comenzara oficialmente el 20 de Marzo!!
  

And do you know what color their eggs are? Blue!!
Y saben de que color son sus huevos? Azules!!

And another "sign" that spring is coming are the crocuses, flowers that can begin appearing during a warm late winter (like in this case), or during early spring.
Y otro "signo" de que ya viene la primavera son las flores del azafran, flores que pueden comenzar a aparecer durante finales de un invierno calido (como en este caso), o durante comienzos de primavera. 

Entering Deas Island, a magnificent blue heron waiting for me, at least I want to think that way!!
Entrando a la isla Deas, una magnifica garza azul esperandome, al menos eso quiero pensar!!
 

Being here, the best relaxing therapy I can have!!
Estar aqui, la mejor terapia de relajacion que puedo tener!!
 

Life is a real reflection of what we allow ourselves to be. Let's remember that beauty reflects beauty, and also that love reflects love!!
La vida es un reflejo de lo que nos permitimos ser. Recordemos que la belleza refleja belleza, y tambien que el amor refleja amor!! 
 

No doubt we live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty!!
No hay duda que vivimos en un mundo maravilloso que esta lleno de belleza!!

Every second has the possibility to be even better than the last one, and here I was going from wow to WOW!!!!
Cada segundo tiene la posibilidad de ser aun mejor que el anterior, y aqui yo estaba llendo de guau to GUAU!!!!

Right now I'm watching a beautiful movie, "The blind side", and I can only be grateful that we decided not to be "blind" to the beauty around!!
En este momento estoy viendo una hermosa pelicula "El lado ciego", y solo puedo estar agradecida que nosotros decidimos no ser "ciegos" a la belleza alrededor!!
   

And with my eyes wide open, I saw plenty of majestic eagles that day!!
Y con mis ojos bien abiertos, vi muchas aguilas majestuosas ese dia!!
  

I don't know about you, but I was in paradise enjoying this sunset!!
No se ustedes, pero yo estaba en el paraiso disfrutando de este atardecer!!

And looking to the other side, more "pastel" colors, and more noisy but gorgeous geese as well!!
Y mirando hacia el otro lado, colores mas "pasteles", y gansos mas ruidosos pero hermosos tambien!!

What a blessing to be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful sights that brings as hope knowing that tomorrow the sun will shine again!!
Que bendicion poder disfrutar una de las mas hermosas vistas que nos brinda esperanza sabiendo que manana el sol volvera a brillar!!
 

Not a picture of the sunset, either a bird, but "unique" fungus they are!!
No es una foto del atardecer, tampoco un ave, pero si son hongos "unicos"!!

And of course, a place full of eagles need to have some of their huge nests!!
Y por supuesto, un lugar lleno de aguilas necesita tener algunos de sus enormes nidos!!

And some minutes later, look at the change!!
Y algunos minutos mas tarde, miren el cambio!!

Some pictures just seem to have it all. An spectacular location, beautiful colors, caught at just the perfect moment, but I want to think as well that in certain way is that we all are lucky, me for being there, and you for being able to enjoy my picture!!
Algunas fotos parecen tenerlo todo. Una locacion espectacular, hermosos colores, tomada en el momento perfecto, pero yo quiero creer que tambien es en parte que todos tenemos suerte, yo por estar ahi, y ustedes por poder disfrutar mi foto!!
