Glacier Bay!! - Bahia Glaciar!!

And with these ones, I'm posting the last ones from Glacier Bay, an spectacular place that fortunately we were able to visit meanwhile some of the glaciers are "still there", because the sad part is how fast they are disappearing due to global warming!!
Many of them are similar, but you know me, just there I took more than 700 pictures, I think you'll be happy to enjoy each one I posted!!
Y con estas, estoy bajando las ultimas de la Bahia Glaciar, un lugar espectacular que afortunadamente pudimos visitar mientras algunos de los glaciares estan "aun ahi", pues lo mas triste es lo rapido que estan desapareciendo debido al calentamiento global!!
Muchas son similares, pero ya me conocen, solo alli tome mas de 700 fotos, yo creo que estaran felices de disfrutar cada una de las que baje!!

Long time ago I read somewhere that if you are in the middle of the sea (not this case!) with no land at sight, if there are birds around, that means land is close!!
Hace mucho tiempo lei en algun lado que si estas en el medio del oceano (no en este caso!) sin ver nada de tierra, si hay aves alrededor, esa significa que la tierra esta cerca!! 
  

 

 

 

There are certain pictures that have "something" that appeals to me, and this is one of them!!! The rocks, the trees, the color of the water, nothing in particular, but everything together!!
Hay ciertas fotos que tienen "algo" que me llama la atencion, y esta es una de ellas!!! Las rocas, los arboles, el color del agua, nada en particular, pero todo junto!!

Yes, we are going closer to the Johns Hopkins Glacier!!!!
Si, nos vamos acercando al Glaciar Johns Hopkins!!!!

Both my sisters say that if we aren't in the picture, it seems we weren't there, well, here you have my sister, I was taking the pictures!!!!
I think the McBride Glacier is the one behind, but not sure!!
Mis dos hermanas dicen que si no estamos en las fotos, parece que no hubieramos estado alli, asi que aqui tienen a mi hermana, yo estaba tomando las fotos!!!!
Creo que el Glaciar McBride es el de atras, pero no estoy segura!! 

Muir Glacier. It has receded and is now a terrestrial glacier!! End of September, last cruise of the season, gorgeous but at the same time sad with so little snow!!!
Glaciar Muir. Ha retrocedido y es ahora un glaciar terrestre!! Finales de Septiembre, ultimo crucero de la temporada, precioso pero al mismo tiempo triste con tan poca nieve!!!

Johns Hopkins Glacier (left side) and Margerie Glacier (right side). Most glaciers are retreating except the Johns Hopkins, which is advancing :) :) :)!!!! and the Margerie which is stable!!!

Fortunately I was able to presence a piece of glacier falling to the water!!
Afortunadamente pude presenciar un pedazo de glaciar cayendo al agua!!

A Ranger that was in the restaurant told us there were hundreds of Stellar California Sea Lions, I left Pilar with binoculars and went out to take pictures!!
Un Ranger que estaba en el restaurante nos dijo que habia cientos de leones marinos Californianos Estelares, deje a Pilar con binoculos y me fui afuera a sacar fotos!!

And today I begin with some of the pictures I took during the cruise to Alaska.
We left from Vancouver, Sunday, Sept. 20. The following day we were cruising the Inside Passage and Tuesday we were also cruising Glacier Bay, and from these places is that I'm posting pictures today.

Y hoy comienzo con algunas de las fotos que tome durante el crucero por Alaska.
Salimos de Vancouver el domingo 20 de Sept. Al dia siguiente navegamos el Pasaje Interno y el martes navegamos la Bahia Glaciar, y de estos lugares es que estoy bajando fotos hoy.
Continuare con mas de la Bahia Glaciar y otros lugares mas tarde, mientras, disfruten de estas!!!

Canada Place from the cruise. After arriving, passing Immigration and entering to the ship and to our stateroom, we went for lunch and this was the view from the window, the "sails" of Canada Place!!
Canada Place (El Lugar de Canada) desde el crucero. Luego de llegar, pasar inmigracion y entrar al barco y a nuestra cabina, fuimos a almorzar y esta era la vista desde la ventana, las "velas" de Canada Place!!

Our first desserts!!!!! The portions were very "decent", we shared the ones we could, but we had our "individual" portions as well!!
Nuestros primeros postres!!!!! Las porciones eran muy "decentes", compartimos los que pudimos, pero tambien tuvimos nuestras porciones "individuales"!!

We arrived still raining a little and very windy, but the weather improved and we left Vancouver with this gorgeous weather!!
LLegamos aun lloviendo un poco y con mucho viento, pero el clima mejoro y dejamos Vancouver con este hermoso clima!!

First whole day of the cruise. Cruising the Inside Passage. I printed an album and this is the first picture!!
Primer dia completo del crucero. Navegando el Pasaje Interno. Imprimi un album y esta es la primera foto!!
 

Can't remember if it was after breakfast or lunch, but we saw the rainbow from the restaurant and I went out to take the picture. Didn't know but supposedly Alaska is famous for its colorful rainbows!!
No puedo recordar si fue luego del desayuno o del almuerzo, pero vimos el arcoiris desde el restaurante y yo sali a tomar la foto. No sabia pero supuestamente Alaska es bastante conocida por sus coloridos arcoiris!!

The sun between the clouds and reflecting on the water. Some views were "magnificent", this one included!!
El sol entre las nubes y reflejandose en el agua. Algunas vistas fueron "magnificas", esta incluida!!

Again, at the restaurant. I was kind of giving my back to the window when I saw them and began to scream to Pilar "ballenas, ballenas" (whales, whales)!!! Everybody understood!!! First humpback whales we saw during the cruise and what a show we enjoyed!!
De nuevo, en el restaurante. Yo estaba casi que dando la espalda a la ventana cuando las vi y comenze a gritarle a Pilar "ballenas, ballenas"!!! Todo el mundo entendio!!! Primeras ballenas jorobadas que vimos durante el crucero y que show el que disfrutamos!!

Food was great, but the desserts? SPECTACULAR!!!!
La comida fue grandiosa, pero los postres? ESPECTACULARES!!!!

Entering Glacier Bay. And as the magazine for next season (2016) says: "In few places is NATURAL MAJESTY so gloriously expressed"!!
Entrando a la Bahia Glaciar. Y como la revista para la proxima temporada (2016) dice: "En pocos lugares la MAJESTUOSIDAD NATURAL se expresa tan grandiosamente"!!

And yes, after such a strong summer, there were still places without snow!!
Y si, luego de un verano tan fuerte, aun habia lugares sin nieve!!
  

Just breathtaking!! Can't express the magnitude of how I felt being there and being able to enjoy sights like this one!!
Simplemente imponente!! No puedo expresar la magnitud de como me senti estando alli y pudiendo disfrutar de escenarios como este!!

How not to fall in love with such a beautiful place? It took me some years to go, but I finally went and for sure I'm planning to come back!!!
Como no enamorarse de un lugar tan hermoso? Me tomo algunos anos el ir, pero finalmente fui y seguro que estoy planeando regresar!!!

It's almost impossible to describe the spectacular beauty this place offers, I cannot think of a better way to apply the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words", don't you agree?!!!
Es casi imposible describir la belleza de este lugar, no puedo pensar en una forma mejor que con el dicho "Una foto vale mas que mil palabras", no estan de acuerdo?!!!

Since August and until the beginning of October my job was close to my place, and every morning when going there I was taking the same route just to enjoy some beautiful gardens on my way, and some days before my sister came we enjoyed a beautiful Summer morning with still some mist on the ground and on some flowers too.
I decided to take some new pictures of the roses, and I'm fascinated with them, when I saw them in my computer I thought God put me there at the right moment and helped me to take these pictures and to enjoy their spectacular beauty, as well as I hope you'll do!!

Desde Agosto y hasta el principio de Octubre mi trabajo fue cerca de casa, y cada manana cuando iba para alla tomaba la misma ruta para disfrutar de unos hermosos jardines en el camino, y algunos dias antes de venir mi hermana disfrutamos de una hermosa y veraniega manana con algo de rocio tanto en el prado como en algunas flores.
Decidi tomar unas cuantas fotos mas de las rosas, y estoy fascinada con ellas, cuando las vi en mi computador pense que Dios me puso alli en el momento perfecto y me ayudo a tomar estas fotos y a disfrutar de su belleza espectacular, como espero que ustedes tambien lo hagan!!

I'm enjoying making the collages a lot, and I need to continue practicing because as my youngest sister wrote, I probably will take thousands of pictures during the cruise!!
Estoy disfrutando mucho haciendo los collages, y necesito seguir practicando pues como mi hermana menor escribio, probablemente tomare unas cuantas miles de fotos durante el crucero!!

And coming back home, other ones to enjoy!!
Y regresando a casa, otras mas para disfrutar!!

    

Collages.

Almost one month after the last one, I'm here again!! Very, very busy with work, but learning and enjoying it a lot!! And also preparing everything for my sister's visit that will be here next week!!!
And even my picture taking has decrease a little, of course I'm still taking pictures, and today I'm posting a couple collages between other ones, enjoy them as I hope you are enjoying your lives!! 
Casi un mes despues del ultimo, por aqui de nuevo!! Muy muy ocupada con trabajo, pero aprendiendo y disfrutandolo muchisimo!! Y tambien preparando todo para la visita de mi hermana que estara aqui la proxima semana!!!
Y aunque el tomar fotos ha disminuido un poco, por supuesto sigo tomando, y hoy estoy bajando un par de collages entre otras, disfrutenlas como espero que esten disfrutando de sus vidas!!

Aug. 1st. A gorgeous full moon, and yes, you saw it before, when I posted it with Canada's "Celebration of light" fireworks!!
Agosto 1ro. Una hermosa luna llena, y si, ya la vieron antes, cuando baje los fuegos artificiales de la "Celebracion de luces" de Canada!!

Sometimes we complain about the weather being too hot, too rainy, too cold, but ... have you ever complain about the moon? Not me!!
Algunas veces nos quejamos de que el clima esta muy caliente, muy lluvioso, muy frio, pero ... alguna vez se han quejado de la luna? Yo no!!

Aug. 22. A beautiful night, and even I prefer full moon or "the nail", I'm enjoying more and more all the "phases" and more when it is as clear as this one!!!
Agosto 22. Una hermosa noche, y aunque prefiero la luna llena o "la una", estoy disfrutando mas y mas todas las "fases" y mas cuando es tan clara como esta!!!

Have you ever think that this moon is the same one that our ancestors used to look at?, the same moon that everybody can see from different parts of the world? I remember being in Spain and thinking John and I were looking at the same moon!!
Alguna vez han pensado que esta luna es la misma que nuestros ancestros solian mirar?, la misma luna que todos podemos ver desde diferentes partes del mundo? Recuerdo estando en Espana y pensando que John y yo estabamos mirando la misma luna!!
  

Aug. 25. A little more cloudy than the other night, but clear enough anyway!! I just love to be able to see the craters and other parts of the moon!! Want to assemble John's telescope, but for now, the camera is good enough!!
Agosto 25. Un poco mas nublado que la otra noche, pero suficientemente clara de todas formas!! Me encanta poder ver los crateres y otras partes de la luna!! Deseo armar el telescopio de John, pero por ahora, la camara es mas que suficiente!!
 

How much patience we can learn from it!! Little by little, just adding a little more every night,at the end we all can enjoy a perfect full moon!!!
Que tanta paciencia podemos aprender de ella!! Poco a poco, agregando un poco mas cada noche, al final todos podemos disfrutar de una luna llena perfecta!!

And here you have the collage!! As the sun, the moon is always there, and it doesn't matter if we can't see it, it'll shine again!!
Y aqui tienen el collage!! Como el sol, la luna siempre esta ahi, y no importa si no podemos verla, ella brillara de nuevo!!

Aug. 28. John's birthday. Was a little rainy, cloudy and cold day, things that didn't help to lift my spirit .... until I saw these roses, a gift from God, and I'm sure  from John too, helping me to have a more beautiful day since that moment, and also reminding me of all the blessings I have in my life, we all have in our lives!!
Agosto 28. Cumpleanos de John. Fue un dia algo lluvioso, nublado y frio, cosas que no ayudaron a levantar mi animo .... hasta que vi estas rosas, un regalo de Dios, y estoy segura que de John tambien, ayudandome a tener un dia mas hermoso a partir de ese momento, y tambien recordandome todas las bendiciones que tengo en mi vida, que todos tenemos en nuestras vidas!!
 

Why I always carry a camera with me? To be able to capture some of the beauty that surround us, a beauty like this one!!
Por que siempre cargo una camara conmigo? Para poder capturar algo de la belleza que nos rodea, una belleza como esta!!

"Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness." And taking pictures to keep the memories of things and moments is what I like, and doing it is part of the passion in my life, and for sure it helps me more than sometimes I can imagine!!
"Hacer lo que te gusta es libertad, gustarte lo que haces es felicidad." Y tomar fotos para mantener los recuerdos de cosas y momentos es lo que me gusta, y el hacerlo es parte de la pasion en mi vida, y seguro que si me ayuda mas de lo que algunas veces me puedo imaginar!!
