You cannot imagine how happy I'm that John was able to enjoy them, even now he's enjoying something even more beautiful!!
No se imaginan lo feliz que estoy de pensar que John pudo disfrutarlas, aunque ahora esta disfrutando de algo aun mas hermoso!!

With everything we need to go through in life, what a solace to have so much beauty around to help us to continue enjoying a beautiful life, and to remind us that there is always, always, always something to be thankful for!!
Con todo por lo que tenemos que pasar en la vida, que consuelo tener tanta belleza alrededor para ayudarnos a continuar disfrutando de una vida hermosa, y para recordarnos que siempre, siempre, siempre hay algo por lo que estar agradecidos!!

How not to be grateful when flowers can help us to have prettier lives, and also enhance our everyday life!!
Como no estar agradecidos cuando las flores nos pueden ayudar a tener vidas mas hermosas, y tambien a mejorar nuestra vida diaria!!

I can accept that not everybody can see the beauty I see in them, but I hope you all can see at least some of their beauty!!
Puedo aceptar que no todos puedan ver la belleza que yo veo en ellos, pero espero que todos puedan ver al menos algo de su belleza!!

What a magnificent thing to know that whenever we want to see beauty, it's always there, always available to us!!
Que cosa mas magnifica saber que cuando queremos ver belleza, siempre esta ahi, siempre disponible para todos!!

A friend wrote me that the tulips are gorgeous, but that I, the photographer, help a lot to show their beauty, thank you so much for the compliment!!
Una amiga me escribio que los tulipanes son preciosos, pero que yo, la fotografa, ayudo mucho a mostrar su belleza, muchas gracias por el cumplido!!

Some weeks ago went to the park again, and between the male mallards, a beautiful wood duck enjoying with them, not a very common sight in this side of the park!!
Hace algunas semanas volvi al parque, y entre los machos mallard, un hermoso pato "madera" disfrutando con ellos, no algo muy comun de ver en este lado del parque!!

One of the most beautiful and colorful ducks in North America, how lucky we are having them here!!
Una de los mas hermosos y coloridos patos en Norte America, que suerte tenemos de tenerlos aqui!!
 

And even better, are the only ducks in North America that regularly have ducklings twice a year, more opportunities to enjoy them!!
Y aun mejor, son los unicos patos en Norte America que regularmente tienen paticos dos veces al ano, mas oportunidades para disfrutarlos!!

These orange poppies are from a neighbor's garden, so flashy!!
Estas amapolas naranjadas son de un jardin vecino, tan llamativas!!
 

They kind of look like "artificial", its texture for sure invites us to compare it with crepe paper flowers!!
Lucen como "artificiales", su textura seguro que nos invita a compararle con flores de papel crepe!!

And look at the bud, I'll never imagine such flower can come from this!!
Y miren el capullo, nunca me imaginaria que la flor puede venir de este!!

Even a short one, what a spectacular show they offer to us!!
Aunque corto, que show mas espectacular nos ofrecen!!

And as an interesting fact, they're deer-proof plants!!
Y como dato interesante, son plantas a prueba de venados!!
 

But with their ornamental pods, they attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds!!
Pero con sus centros tan ornamentales, atraen abejas, mariposas, y colibries!!

Just a "simple" branch, with some green leaves and the sun "through" some of them, but what a magnificent thing for us to enjoy!!

For sure they look "provocative", but don't worry that I'm not planning to try them, because even all mushrooms are edible, I think that with these ones, only once, LOL!!!

Seguro que lucen "provocativos", pero no se preocupen que no estoy planeando probarlos, porque aunque todos los hongos son comestibles, creo que con estos, solamente una vez, JAJAJA!!!

Some weeks ago our neighbor from Guatemala gave me a "tortilla" (arepa) with guacamole, and it was just like the ones I used to eat in my country!! I asked him where to get them and he gave me some of the flour to prepare them, and here you have my first white arepas prepared by me here in Canada!!
Hace algunas semanas nuestro vecino de Guatemala me dio una "tortilla" (arepa) con guacamole, y era como las que solia comer en mi pais!! Le pregunte donde las podia conseguir y me dio algo de la harina para prepararlas, y aqui tienen mis primeras arepas blancas preparadas por mi aqui en Canada!!
 

He also gave me some fresh cheese, it was like manna from heaven!!
Tambien me dio algo de queso fresco (como quesito), fue como mana del cielo!!

I prepared some more and freeze them!! All gone now, but fortunately have more flour and now know where to get it once I finish with the one I have!!
Prepare mas y las congele!! Ya me las acabe, pero afortunadamente tengo mas harina y ahora ya se donde puedo conseguir mas una vez se me acabe la que tengo!!
  

And some days later I also baked some walnut cookies, a little sad you cannot smell or try them, they were delicious!!
Y algunos dias mas tarde tambien hornee unas galletas de nueces, algo triste que no las pueden oler o probarlas, estaban deliciosas!!

Guess what? I have the petals flattening and drying in a book!!
Adivinen que? Tengo los petalos aplanandose y secandose en un libro!!

I was just reading that some plants and flowers rely on humans to fertilize them and nurture their grow, and in return, they give us pleasure!!
Estaba leyendo que algunas plantas y flores dependen de los humanos para que les fertilizen y ayuden en su crecimiento, y a cambio, nos dan placer!!
 

And here you have the last pictures of my tulips, long gone now, but writing about them right now, enjoying the memories and the pictures from when I still had them!!
Y aqui tienen las ultimas fotos de mis tulipanes, que ya hace tiempo no los tengo, pero ahora escribiendo sobre ellos, disfrutando de los recuerdos y las fotos de ellos mientras aun los tenia!!

Since some days ago I had been enjoying my spectacular tulips, and today I'm sharing with you all the "process" of them coming out, opening, and open, enjoy them with me!!
And as before, I won't write about all of them.
Some of them are very similar, but I'm so fascinated with them that I want you to see why I'm enjoying them so much!!
Desde hace algunos dias he estado disfrutando de mis tulipanes espectaculares, y hoy estoy compartiendo con ustedes el "proceso" de cuando comenzaron a salir, abriendose, y abiertos, disfrutenlos conmigo!!
Y como antes, no voy a escribir sobre todas ellas.
Algunas son bastante similares, pero estoy tan fascinada que solo quiero que vean el porque les estoy disfrutando tanto!!

What an honor to be able to "see" this miracle!! It began from a bulb, I got them with some leaves, some days later the tulips came, and that day, some of them more open than others, showing their beauty and some of their gorgeous colors!!
Que honor poder "ver" este milagro!! Comenzo desde un bulbo, yo les consegui con algunas hojas, algunos dias despues vinieron los tulipanes, y ese dia, algunos mas abiertos que otros, mostrando su belleza y algunos de sus preciosos colores!!
       

Even they have a "natural" explanation, I still consider them "miracles" that help our lives to be a lot more beautiful!!
Aunque tienen una explicacion "natural", yo les considero "milagros" que ayudan a nuestras vidas a ser aun mas hermosas!!

With the tulips blooming, more joy and happiness also bloom in my heart!!
Con los tulipanes floreciendo, mas gozo y felicidad tambien florecen en mi corazon!!

Just as each flower is unique in its own way, so are we!!
Tal como cada flor es unica a su manera, tambien lo somos nosotros!!

They were just opening, they are completely open now, and in some more days they'll be gone, but they'll stay "alive" forever ... in my pictures!!
Apenas estaban abriendo, ya estan completamente abiertos, y en unos dias mas ya no estaran, pero estaran "vivos" por siempre ... en mis fotos!!

I was very sad at the moment, but I had it in a little container, and it gave me a lot of happiness just looking at it!! Hopefully next year I'll have another one from that bulb!!
Me puse muy triste en ese momento, pero lo puse en un pequeno recipiente, y me dio mucha alegria simplemente con mirarlo!! Espero que el proximo ano tendre otro de este bulbo!!
 

And now, back to the ones outside, that of course, I'm still enjoying too!!
Y ahora, a los de afuera de nuevo, que por supuesto, tambien estoy disfrutando todavia!!

And don't ask me what happened, I just know that the "yellowish" color they had at the beginning, changed to completely white!! Maybe the light, maybe the flash, maybe the flowers!!
Y no me pregunten que paso, solo se que el color "amarillento" que tenian al principio, cambio completamente a blanco!! Talves la luz, talves el flash, talves las flores!!

No matter the color, no matter the shape, I love all of them!!
No importa el color, no importa la forma, les adoro a todos!!
