Jan. 10 2015, I had, so far, the most spectacular day of this new year!!

One of my plans for this year is to have an exposition with some of my pictures, and a friend told me that I'll need a better camera (professional) if I want to become a professional photographer. I decided to follow his advice, and some days after Christmas, taking advantage of the boxing week sales, went and got a new camera, a Canon EOS 70D, a wonderful one!!
And January 10 2015, I went to Lynn Valley, trying to enjoy some snow and the new camera, and even didn't have any snow, it was foggy and I had a wonderful time!!
All the pictures this time are from the new camera, took some with the other one but this time I'm posting just the ones with the new one, later I'll post some from the other one too!!

10 de Enero del 2015, tuve, hasta ahora, el dia mas espectacular de este nuevo ano!!

Uno de mis planes para este ano es hacer una exposicion con algunas de mis fotos, y un amigo me dijo que necesitaba una camara mejor (profesional) si quiero convertirme en fotografa profesional. Decidi seguir su consejo, y unos dias despues de Navidad, aproveche las rebajas de despues de Navidad, y fui y me compre una nueva camara, una Canon EOS 70D, una maravilla!!
Y el 10 de Enero del 2015, me fui al Valle Lynn, tratando de disfrutar algo de nieve y la camara nueva, y aunque no habia nieve, estaba con neblina y tuve un dia formidable!!
Las fotos de esta vez son todas de la camara nueva, tome algunas con la otra camara tambien pero en esta tanda estoy bajando nada mas de la nueva, mas tarde bajare algunas de la otra tambien!!

Y desde el mismo punto que tome la primera, pero mirando hacia la derecha, parte de la "piscina natural", y que diferencia!!

Y de nuevo a la izquierda!!

Doesn't it look like a beast? I thought about it once I saw it!!
No parece una bestia? Yo pense que si apenas lo vi!!

And continuing with my walk, nature amazing me everywhere I was looking at!! Love that fungus!!
Y continuando con mi caminata, la naturaleza asombrandome para donde mirara!! Me encanta ese hongo!!

Yes, you guessed, a close up!! Doesn't it look amazing? I think so!!
Si, adivinaron, un acercamiento!! No luce asombroso? Yo asi lo creo!!

There is a place in the park called "the twin waterfalls", this is one of them .....
Hay un lugar en el parque que se llama "las cascadas gemelas", esta es una de ellas .....

And again, another close up!! Love the transparency of the water!!
Y de nuevo, otro acercamiento!! Adoro la claridad del agua!!

And continuing with "animals", this one looks like a "bird" to me (the big leaf being the head!!)
Y continuando con "animales", esta se me parece a un "ave" (con la hoja grande como cabeza!!)

And here you have it, the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge!! I really dislike it. Before our wedding, we went with a friend and John said that the look in my face our wedding day was showing the same terror that crossing the bridge!! Thing that wasn't true, I wasn't terrified that day!!!
Y aqui lo tienen, el puente colgante del Canon Lynn!! Realmente me aterra. Antes de nuestra boda, fuimos con un amigo y John dijo que mi cara el dia de la boda mostraba el mismo terror que cruzando el puente!! Cosa que no era cierta, yo no estaba aterrorizada ese dia!!!

Going to the other side!! And being "brave" enough to lift the camera and shoot!! And for the ones thinking about it, the person up there wasn't me.
Pasando al otro lado!! Y con la suficiente "valentia" de levantar la camara y disparar!! Y para las personas pensandolo, la persona ahi arriba no era yo. 

I wish I could feel more comfortable crossing it, but can't help myself, is a petrifying experience every time I cross it!!
Quisiera sentirme mas comoda cruzandolo, pero no puedo evitarlo, es una experiencia que me petrifica cada vez que lo cruzo!!
 

And after being at the other side, wanted to go to another place (the lake), and the way to go was on the other side!!!, then I needed to cross it again, a second time!!!
Y luego de estar en el otro lado, queria ir a otro lugar (el lago), y el camino a seguir estaba al otro lado!!!, asi que necesite cruzarlo de nuevo, una segunda vez!!

Arriving to the lake, and yes, that's fog!!! Wanted to seat down on that bench, but was pretty wet!!
LLegando al lago, y si, eso es neblina!!! Queria sentarme en ese banca, pero estaba bien mojada!!

Finally, Rice lake. And what you are "thinking" is water,  is ice!!
Finalmente, el lago Arroz. Y lo que estan "pensando" que es agua, es hielo!!

Very similar ones, but I was fascinated taking pictures there!!
Muy similares, pero estaba fascinada tomando fotos ahi!!

You can see the ice clearer on this one, very thin, but ice!!
Con esta pueden ver el hielo mas claro, muy delgado, pero hielo!!

Canada Place at night. Coming back from North Vancouver, took the seabus to come back to Vancouver.
Canada Place de noche. Regresando de Vancouver Norte, tome el seabus (como un ferry, pero no se puede salir!) para regresar a Vancouver.

Harbor Centre. A beautiful view from the other side, maybe next time!!
El centro del puerto. Una hermosa vista desde el otro lado, talvez para la proxima!!

    

John Garfield Devers.

Here again, and this time I decided to post a collage with some of my favorites pictures from John!!
The first one was the first political event I went with him, 2 days before he proposed!!
The second was during Lily and Thierry's wedding, May 2009.
The next 3 ones, at Hells Gate, love his expression grabbing "gold" from the gold mine!!
The next 2, the day of our honeymoon, coming back, he slept almost all the time going to the island!!
The following one, one day after my birthday, Aug. 8, 2009. At the Air Force museum or whatever museum with a lot of airplanes!!
And the last one, the most recent one, enjoying Esperanza (the boat), Summer 2012, some days before my 50th. birthday, we both were very sun tanned for my party!!
And I finish with something I read in a tombstone many years ago, and since then, I love it!! Found it very appropriate for John, and hope one day somebody will think that way about me too!!
"To live in the hearts you left behind, is to live forever. Our memory of you is our keepsake. With it, we'll never part. God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts. Loving and kind in all your ways, what a beautiful memory you left behind!"

Aqui de nuevo y esta vez decidi poner un collage con algunas de mis fotos favoritas de John!!
La primera fue durante el primer evento politico que fui con el, 2 dia antes de que me propusiera matrimonio!!
La segunda fue durante la boda de Lily y Thierry, Mayo del 2009.
Las 3 siguientes, en Hells Gate (Puerta al infierno), me fascina su expresion cogiendo el "oro" de la mina de oro!!
Las 2 siguientes, el dia de nuestra luna de miel, regresando, durmio casi todo el rato cuando ibamos para la isla!!
La siguiente, un dia despues de mi cumpleanos, Agosto 8, 2009. En el museo de las fuerzas aereas o otra clase de museo pero con muchos aviones!!
Y la ultima, la mas reciente, disfrutando de Esperanza (el velero), verano del 2012, unos dias antes de mi 50 cumpleanos, ambos estabamos bien bronceados para mi fiesta!!
Y termino con algo que lei en una lapida hace muchos anos, y desde entonces, me encanta!! Lo encuentro muy apropiado para John, y espero que un dia alguien pensara de esa misma manera sobre mi!!
"Vivir en los corazones que dejaste atras, es vivir para siempre. Nuestras memorias sobre ti son el legado que nos dejaste. Con este, nunca estaremos aparte. Hello my dears!!!!

After almost 6 months since I posted the last ones, here I'm again, trying to post some of the pictures I took during this time. My life has changed a lot, and my blog is also changing a little, I won't write about every picture, and will be sending a group every time I have the "strength" to do it!!

Hola mis queridos!!!!

Luego de casi 6 meses desde que baje las ultimas, aqui estoy de nuevo, tratando de bajar algunas fotos que tome durante este tiempo. Mi vida ha cambiado muchisimo, y mi blog tambien esta cambiando un poco, no voy a escribir sobre cada foto, y estare mandando de a grupos cada vez que tenga la "fortaleza" para hacerlo!!

Nov. 29/2014. The morning after the first snow of the season!!!
Not too much, but enough for me to enjoy as much as I could!!
Nov. 29/2014. A la manana siguiente de la primera nieve de la temporada!!!
No mucha, pero suficiente para yo disfrutarla tanto como pude!!
 

And to the park I went!! Not only to enjoy the snow, the little animals around too!!
Y al parque me fui!! No solo a disfrutar la nieve, los animalitos alrededor tambien!!
 

If something hadn't change too much, it's the enjoyment I still get from this park and everything in it!
Si algo no ha cambiado mucho, es el gozo que aun consigo de este parque y todo en el!!

El puente donde normalmente disfruto de los patos (un par de ellos en la esquina inferior izquierda de la foto!!)

Even just looking at the picture I still feel a deep emotion, I'm alive and with a lot of blessings in my life, like being able to enjoy places like this one!!
Aun con solo mirar la foto siento una profunda emocion, estoy viva y con muchisimas bendiciones en mi vida, como el poder disfrutar de lugares como este!!

I wish this were my Christmas tree!!!
Quisiera que este fuera mi arbol de Navidad!!!

Isn't it gorgeous? The snow, and ice too!! Yes, it is ice, not just water!!
No es preciosa? La nieve, y hielo tambien!! Si, es hielo, no simplemente agua!!

Yes, the snow is on top of the mushrooms!!
Si, la nieve estaba encima de los hongos!!

No matter where we look, there is always beauty around us, we just need to have our eyes open and be willing to see it!!
No importa a donde miremos, siempre hay belleza a nuestro alrededor, solo necesitamos abrir los ojos y quererla ver!!

"Our" chapel (where John and I got married), this time with snow around, and I think it is also the first time I see it like this!!
"Nuestra" capilla (donde John y yo nos casamos), esta vez con nieve alrededor, y yo creo que es tambien la primera vez que la veo asi!!

And this one and the next one too, are some of my favorites of that day!!
Y esta y la siguiente tambien, estan entre mis favoritas de ese dia!!

What a gorgeous day, blue sky, sunny, and snow around, how not to be fascinated?!!
Que dia mas hermoso, cielo azul, soleado, y con la nieve alrededor, como no estar fascinada?!!

And after coming back from the park, already exhausted, a couple more in the backyard!!
Y luego de regresar del parque, ya agotada, un par mas en el jardin de atras!!

And the last one of this post!!! Guess who is enjoying the fresh snow?!!!!
