BBQ at the neighbor - BBQ donde el vecino.

Last week one of our neighbors (latin family!!) invited us for a BBQ, and for desserts we enjoyed some fruits (cherries, mangos, grapes, etc.), between other kind of desserts, like an ice cream cake, perfect for summer time!!
La semana pasada uno de nuestros vecinos (una familia latina) nos invito a un BBQ, y de postres disfrutamos algunas frutas (cerezas, mangos, uvas, etc.), entre otras clases de postres, como un pastel helado, perfecto para verano!!

Quieren sandia? Lo siento, este es el pastel helado, la sandia ''real'' esta al lado!!

Graceful little tarts, with some typical berries from the season, strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries!!
Simpaticas tarticas, con algunas bayas de la temporada, fresas, agraz (o mortino), y frambuesas!!

July 14, Bear Creek Park - Julio 14, Parque Quebrada del oso

After some days, here I'm again with the pictures of a beautiful evening in ''our'' park, while enjoying a nice walk after dinner, and surrounded by gorgeous flowers all around!!.... And so many, that collages are the best way to see them this time again!!
Luego de varios dias, aqui estoy de nuevo con las fotos de un hermoso atardecer en ''nuestro'' parque, mientras disfrutabamos de una agradable caminata luego de cenar, y rodeados por preciosas flores a nuestro alrededor!! ...... Y tantas, que en grupos es de nuevo la mejor forma de verlas!!

A different species of cattail, doesn't need a wetland, but pretty anyway!!
Una especie diferente de espadana, no necesita de tierras pantanosas, pero hermosa de todas formas!!

The season for lilies, and looking at them make me think how some people can say there isn't perfection?!!!
La temporada para los lirios, y mirandoles me hace pensar como alguna gente puede decir que no hay perfeccion?!!!

Plenty of variety to enjoy!!! Una gran variedad para disfrutar!!!

So exquisite!! And they all are there for us to enjoy!! Tan exquisitas!! Y estan ahi para nosotros disfrutarlas!!

And these ones, for me, are the ''exotic'' ones, first time in my life that I see them!!
Y estas, para mi, son las ''exoticas'', primera vez en mi vida que las veo!!

There are always beautiful things in the world, every day, everywhere, we just need to open our eyes to see them!!
Siempre hay cosas hermosas en el mundo, cada dia, en todas partes, solo necesitamos abrir nuestros ojos para verlas!!

Last Sunday we went to a birthday party for the son of some friends, 8 years old!! And of course, being Summer, the invitation included to bring swimming suit if we wanted to enjoy the pool they have. John was telling me that if many children were there, he would stay out of the pool, but it was hot and he decided to enjoy them anyway!!!!!
El pasado domingo fuimos a una fiesta de cumpleanos del hijo de unos amigos, 8 anos!! Y por supuesto, siendo verano, la invitacion incluia llevar traje de bano si queriamos disfrutar de la piscina que tienen. John me decia que si habia muchos ninos, el se quedaria fuera de la piscina, pero estaba haciendo calor y decidio uniserles de todas formas!!!!!

 And after some of the children left, he took one of the life savers to use it as a hat!!!
Y luego de que algunos ninos se salieron, John tomo uno de los salvavidas para usarlo como sombrero!!!

For sure we had a great time, John enjoying the pool a lot, and me, seeing him enjoying so much!!
Si, pasamos un rato genial, John disfrutando muchisimo de la piscina, y yo, viendolo disfrutar tanto!!

And with these lilacs and its fragrance close by, of course we were having a marvelous afternoon!!
Y con estas lilas y su fragancia cerca, por supuesto que estabamos pasando una tarde maravillosa!!

 According to some people, lilacs, together with roses, are the most beautiful and aromatic flowers in the world!!
Segun algunas personas, las lilas, junto con las rosas, son las flores mas hermosas y aromaticas en el mundo!!

Humans are not the only ones attracted by its attributes, look at the bee!!
Los humanos no somos los unicos atraidos por sus atributos, miren la abeja!!

 Oh, yeah!!!! No doubt he was having a great time!!! Oh, siii!!!! No hay duda que estaba pasandola muy bien!!!

Alive!! - Viva!!

The other day I went walking to a supermarket and coming back was when I took these pictures, how not to be thankful being able to walk and enjoying these beauties in my way home? Everyday I give thanks to God for all the blessings we have in our lives, like being able to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love, to feel alive!!!
El otro dia me fui caminando a un supermercado y regresando fue cuando tome estas fotos, como no ser agradecida pudiendo caminar y disfrutando de estas bellezas durante mi regreso a casa? Cada dia doy gracias a Dios por todas las bendiciones que tenemos en nuestras vidas, como ser capaces de respirar, de pensar, de gozar, de amar, de sentirnos vivos!!!

I feel so alive when enjoying precious moments like these ones, taking pictures of such beauties!!
Me siento tan viva cuando estoy disfrutando preciosos momentos como estos, tomando fotos de estas bellezas!!

Serpentine River Fen again!! - Marisma del rio Serpentine de nuevo!!!

July 1st., Canada Day, we went to the Serpentine River Fen again, a lot of beautiful flowers around, but even less birds than the last time!! Anyway, with high temperatures but a nice breeze almost all the time, we had a great time walking around!!
1ro. de Julio, el dia de Canada, fuimos de nuevo a la marisma del rio Serpentine, muchas flores hermosas alrededor, pero aun menos aves que la ultima vez!! De todas formas, con altas temperaturas pero una agradable brisa casi todo el tiempo, pasamos un rato super agradable caminando alrededor!!   

How not to stand amaze at the awesome creation that we are allowed to enjoy? Nobody planted them but there they are offering us all its beauty!! (They are wild flowers!)
Como no quedarnos asombrados con la espectacularidad de la creacion que podemos disfrutar? Nadie las planto pero alli estan ofreciendonos toda su belleza!! (Son flores silvestres!)

We should be grateful to God for opening up our eyes to see the wonderful world we are at!!
Debemos estar agradecidos con Dios por abrir nuestros ojos para ver el maravilloso mundo en el que estamos!! 

Aren't we really fortunate to be able to enjoy these beauties? I think so!!
No somos realmente afortunados de poder disfrutar estas bellezas? Yo si lo creo!!

I love it!! I talked with a friend about this picture, that even the dandelion is a weed, how pretty it is, so perfect!!
Me encanta!! Hable con una amiga sobre esta foto, que asi esta flor (diente de leon) sea maleza, que hermosa es, tan perfecta!!

Opening ourselves up to the beauty around is a great way to bring more happiness and peace in our lives!!
El abrirnos a la belleza alrededor es una grandiosa forma de brindar mas alegria y paz a nuestras vidas!!

How true it's that nature always finds a way!! Look at this dandelion, normally grows closer to the soil, but here, ''sharing'' spots with other flowers, needs to be ''taller'' to be able to enjoy the sun!!
Que cierto es que la naturaleza siempre encuentra la manera!! Miren este diente de leon, que normalmente crece mas cerca del suelo, pero como aqui ''comparte'' el terreno con otras flores, necesita ser mas ''alto'' para poder disfrutar del sol!!

Everyone should have time for some special delight everyday, if only five minutes each day to seek out a lovely flower, or a cloud, or a star, something that will make us to feel great, something that will help us to discover  new ways to be happy every day!! And for sure, I was really enjoying being there and for more than 5 minutes, lol!!
Todos deberiamos tener tiempo diariamente para un deleite especial, al menos 5 minutos cada dia disfrutando de una hermosa flor, o de una nube, o de una estrella, algo que nos hara sentir muy bien, y tambien nos ayudara a descubrir nuevas manera de ser felices cada dia!! Y seguro que yo estaba disfrutando el estar alli y por mas de 5 minutos, jajaja!! 

Everything in nature has something marvelous, do you agree? I hope so!!
Todo en la naturaleza tiene algo de maravilloso, estan de acuerdo? Espero que si!!

How a walk, enjoying beautiful scenarios like this one, can helps us? Inspiring and promoting good health, not only for our bodies, for our souls as well!!

It's easy to let days fly by without taking notice of the world around us. Life is beautiful, we need to appreciate it more and be grateful!!
Es facil dejar que los dias vuelen sin notar el mundo alrededor nuestro. La vida es hermosa, necesitamos apreciarla mas y ser agradecidos!!

And with the heat wave we are experiencing these days, for sure we were ''dreaming'' about enjoying it skiing in Mount Baker!!
Y con la ola de calor que estamos experimentando estos dias, seguro que estabamos ''sonando'' disfrutarla esquiando en el Monte Baker!!
 

And these couple of female ducks were some of  the few birds we were able to see, but was reading that September and October are the best months to bird watching there, sure we'll come back by then!!
Y esta pareja de patas fueron unas de las pocas aves que pudimos ver, pero estuve leyendo que Septiembre y Octubre son los mejores meses para ir a observar aves alli, asi que seguro volveremos para entonces!!
 

All the little ''black dots'' are singing birds, you cannot imagine how loud was their singing!!, they were enjoying a lot of food available all over the ''park''!!
Y esos pequenos ''puntos negros'' son pajaritos cantores, no se imaginan a que volumen tan alto estaban cantando!!,  estaban disfrutando de toda la comida que tienen disponible por todo el ''parque''!!
