Sept. 24 - Dinner - Cena.

As I mentioned before, that was a beautiful day, first at the glacier, lake and falls, and then, the most elegant dinner during the cruise. And even we took some pictures between us, the one that a photographer from the cruise took us, is of course the best, even it has "something" I don't completely like!!
Como mencione antes, fue un hermoso dia, primero el glacial, el lago y la cascada, y luego, la cena mas elegante durante el crucero. Y aunque nos tomamos algunas fotos entre nosotras, la que nos tomo una fotografa del crucero, es por supuesto la mejor, aunque tiene "algo" que no me acaba de gustar!!

And once back to our stateroom, another animal, a whale I wish was a natural one, in the water but me being able to take a picture of it!!
Y una vez de regreso en nuestro camarote, otro animal, una ballena que desearia fuera natural, en el agua pero a la que yo pudiera tomarle una foto!!

And finally, the one taken by the photographer, I like this one but as I mentioned before, has something "off", anyway, is a nice "souvenir" from that night!!
And here I finish with this day, a day we had a lot of great moments!!!
Next time, from the last port, and closer to the end of our cruise, but with amazing memories that will stay with us forever and ever!!!

Y finalmente, la que tomo la fotografa, que me gusta pero como mencione antes, tiene algo "fuera de lugar", de todas formas, es un bonito "recuerdo" de esa noche!!
Y aqui termino con este dia, un dia que tuvimos muchisimos gratos momentos!!!
La proxima, del ultimo puerto, y cerca al final de nuestro crucero, pero con recuerdos increibles que estaran con nosotras por y para siempre!!!

   

Juneau - Mendenhall Glacier (Glacial Mendenhall)!!!

And now the second port we visited, Juneau, Alaska's capital.
Y ahora el segundo puerto que visitamos, Juneau, la capital de Alaska.

And again, some more Alaska's mushrooms, these I know from here, but they aren't the most common ones either!!
Y de nuevo, algunos hongos mas de Alaska, esos los conozco de aqui, pero no son los mas comunes aqui tampoco!!

Mendenhall Glacier, what a magnificent place!!
Glacial Mendenhal, que lugar tan magnifico!!

This glacier is one that has been retreating since centuries ago, but with the glacier retreating, the lake is becoming bigger, and that's something good!!
El glacial es uno que ha estado retrocediendo desde hace cientos de anos, pero con el glacial retrocediendo, el lago se esta agrandando, y eso es algo bueno!!

And here you have a better view of the glacier and Mendenhall lake as well!!!
Y aqui tienen una vista mejor del glacial y del lago Mendenhall tambien!!!

And yes, here I am enjoying such as an astonishing place!!
Y si, aqui estoy disfrutando de un lugar asombroso!!

It looks like my sister was freezing (gloves, hat, scarf, nice warm jacket!) and I'm more used to that temperatures now, at least without gloves and hat!!!!
Parece que mi hermana se estaba congelando (guantes, gorro, bufanda, y chaqueta calientita!) y yo ya estoy mas acostumbrada a esas temperaturas ahora, al menos sin guantes y gorro!!!!

Some of them are very similar, but I just want you all to enjoy that place with us!!
Algunas de ellas son muy similares, pero yo solo quiero todos ustedes disfruten de ese lugar con nosotras!!

Before we arrived there, the tour driver was telling us about not taking any food or drink with us, except water, due to the high bear activity at that moment. I didn't translate everything to my sister but when I saw the way to go closer to the glacier, this path, I told her what to do in case we encounter a bear, she wasn't very happy or" calm", but I convinced her to continue going, and fortunately we didn't find any going or coming back, and I'm grateful for that!!
Antes de que llegaramos alli, la conductora del tour nos dijo de no llevar nada de comida o bebida con nosotros, excepto agua, debido a la alta actividad de osos en ese momento. Yo no le traduje todo a mi hermana pero cuando vi la ruta para ir cerca al glacial, este camino, yo le dije que hacer en caso de que nos encontraramos un oso, ella no estaba muy feliz o "calmada", pero la convenci de seguir, y afortunadamente no nos encontramos ninguno ni llendo ni volviendo, y de verdad que estoy agradecida por eso!!

I was a little sad I couldn't go closer and touch it, but hopefully I'll do it one day!!!

Fortunately the wind was calm, and I went close to the falls without getting wet at all!!
Afortunadamente el viento estaba calmado, y fui cerca a la cascada sin mojarme para nada!!
 

Another one that I just love it!!!! I'm passionate about water, and for sure I enjoy visiting places like this one!!
Otra que me encanta!!!! Me apasiona el agua, y seguro que disfruto visitando lugares como este!!

I was trying to take the next picture (the visitor center) and somebody asked me if I wanted a picture, and here you have it!! Pilar didn't go with me there, she was waiting several meters away from there. 
Estaba tratando de tomar la siguiente foto (el centro de visitantes) y alguien me pregunto que si queria una foto, y aqui la tienen!! Pilar no fue hasta alli conmigo, me estaba esperando a varios metros de distancia.

An awe-inspiring place, how wonderful it was to be able to be there!!!
Un lugar despampanante, que grandioso fue el poder haber estado alli!!!

Words aren't enough to describe all the emotions and feelings when you are in the presence of such magnificent nature!!!
Las palabras no son suficientes para describir las emociones y sentimientos cuando se esta en la presencia de una naturaleza tan magnifica!!!

And being at the visitor center, an old lady came and told me about this eagle (in the middle of the picture), but I saw it so big that I thought it was a kind of heron, but no, it was an eagle and a huge one!!!
Y estando en el centro para visitantes, una viejita se me acerco y me dijo sobre este aguila (en el medio de la foto), pero la vi tan grande que pense era una clase de garza, pero no, era un aguila y una bien grande!!!
  

And another picture, look at the "line", where the arrow is. Later the driver told us that Alaska is known for the huge eagles they have, and I believe it!!
Y otra foto, miren la "linea", donde esta la flecha. Mas tarde la conductora nos dijo que Alaska es conocida por las aguilas tan grandes que tienen, y me lo creo!!
 

"Por favor toquenlo. Hielo de hace 200 anos"!!! Y si, por supuesto lo tocamos!! Y no, no preguntamos como es que no se derrite!!
And yes, of course we touched it!! And no, we didn't ask how it's that it doesn't melt!!

Skagway - Alaska.

And now to our first port in Alaska, Skagway!!
But first, some more from the "life" aboard the cruise!!

Pero primero, algunas mas de la "vida" abordo del crucero!!

Some of you already know, but for the ones who don't, every night during the cruise there is a towel "animal", and that night was the time for the seal!!
Algunos de ustedes ya lo saben, pero para los que no, cada noche durante el crucero hay un "animal" hecho de toalla, y esa noche fue el turno de la foca!!

The singers and the dancers were fantastic, how lucky we were that we could enjoy some "northern lights" during our cruise!!
L@s cantantes y bailarin@s estuvieron fantasticos, que suerte tuvimos que pudimos disfrutar de algunas "auroras boreales" durante nuestro crucero!!

More? is that they are so pretty and different that I hope you'll enjoy seeing the pictures!!

And here we have Skagway, a small and beautiful town!!
Y aqui tenemos a Skagway, un pequeno y hermoso pueblo!!

Leaving the cruise going downtown, a very very fast kind of chipmunk, being interested in what the garbage or the walking sticks had to offer. I almost missed it meanwhile taking the camera out!!
Saliendo del crucero y llendo hacia el centro, una muy muy rapida clase de ardilla, interesada en lo que la basura o los palos para caminar tenian para ofrecer. Casi que me la pierdo mientras sacaba la camara!!

Not too much snow, but enough to make me happy!!!
No mucha nieve, pero suficiente para hacerme feliz!!!

And then, a "not very happy moment", the battery of my camera died, and when I took the smaller one out of my purse, another 4-5 pictures and then ..... batteries died as well!!!!
We returned to the cruise for lunch and for me to change jacket (was a lot warmer by then) and the batteries as well, and after a little while we went back to downtown to continue enjoying our day there!!

Y luego, un "momento no muy feliz", la bateria de mi camara se murio, y cuando saque la pequena de mi bolso, otras 4-5 fotos y luego .... las baterias tambien se murieron!!!!
Regresamos al crucero para almorzar y cambiarme de chaqueta (ya estaba mucho mas templado) y las baterias tambien, y luego de un rato volvimos al centro para continuar disfrutando de nuestro dia alli!!
