English Bay - Bahia Inglesa

Last week went with some friends to their Canadian citizenship ceremony, and after it they invited me for lunch. We went to a beautiful restaurant in the English Bay area, a gorgeous beach in Vancouver. Lunch was great, but you'll see the sumptuous dessert I had, a molten chocolate cake!!
La semana pasada fui con unos amigos a su ceremonia de ciudadania Canadiense, y despues ellos me invitaron a almorzar. Fuimos a un hermoso restaurante en el area de la Bahia Inglesa, una playa preciosa en Vancouver. El almuerzo fue grandioso, pero ya veran el postre tan suntuoso que tuve, un pastel con lava de chocolate (como un volcan de chocolate, lo sirven tibio y es fascinante!!!)

Today, the waters of the bay are often "adorned" with huge freighters waiting to load cargoes at Vancouver port.
Hoy, las aguas de la bahia estan frecuentemente "adornadas" por navios gigantes esperando a ser cargados en el puerto de Vancouver.

In the late 19th. and early 20th. centuries, English Bay beach was home to Vancouver's first official lifeguard, who taught hundreds of the city's early residents how to swim!!
Al final del siglo 19 y principios del siglo 20, la playa de la Bahia Inglesa tuvo el primer salvavidas oficial de Vancouver, quien enseno a nadar a cientos de los primeros residentes de la ciudad!!

One of the most popular beaches in the Vancouver area, and being so beautiful, I can understand why?!!

Beautiful. Natural. Free (the beach!!). A wonderful place!!
Hermosa. Natural. Gratuita (la playa!!). Un lugar maravilloso!!

You cannot imagine their fragrance, like oranges, yes, orange the fruit!!
No se imaginan su fragancia, como naranjas, si, naranja la fruta!!

A beautiful, relaxing place where we can enjoy nature but the life of the city as well!!
Un hermoso, relajante lugar donde podemos disfrutar de la naturaleza pero de la vida de ciudad tambien!!

Do you remember the festival of lights, the one with the fireworks? It takes place here, but it can also be enjoyed from different places near by!!

Se acuerdan del festival de las luces, el de los fuegos artificiales? Se celebra aqui, pero tambien se puede disfrutar desde diferentes lugares cercanos!!

My lavish dessert!! Molten chocolate cake (served warm), Tahitian vanilla ice cream, and raspberry coulis!!
Mi esplendido postre!! Pastel con lava de chocolate (que lo sirven tibio), helado de vainilla de Tahiti, y salsa de frambuesas!!
