Nature 's rebirth!! - El renacimiento de la naturaleza!!

As I have mentioned before, all seasons have something to love about, and with spring, seeing all the buds, the flowers, the leaves, everything "rebirthing", is absolutely amazing!!
Como ya he mencionado antes, todas las estaciones tienen algo que hace que las adoremos, y con la primavera, viendo todos los capullos, las flores, las hojas, todo "renaciendo", es absolutamente asombroso!!

What a magnificent experience to see the world around to become alive once again!!
Que experiencia tan magnifica ver el mundo a nuestro alrededor volver a la vida una vez mas!!

It's a season to enjoy the fresh scents, the bright colors, the excitement and zest for life that it creates within us!!
Es una estacion para disfrutar las frescas esencias, los colores tan vivos, la emocion y el gusto por la vida que crea en nosotros!!  

It's also the time for ducks to build their nests and have their ducklings, and I really hope that with my frequent visits to the park, I'll be able to enjoy some of them around!!
Es tambien el momento para los patos construir sus nidos y tener sus paticos, y realmente espero que con mis frecuentes visitas al parque, podre disfrutar algunos de ellos alrededor!!

And to enjoy the robins singing as well!!
Y tambien disfrutar de los mirlos petirrojos cantando!!

A kind of funny fact about robins is that they prefer to eat earthworms in the morning and more fruit later in the day, and this one was probably looking for something to eat, but I was fascinated with its feathers!!
Algo gracioso sobre los mirlos petirrojos es que prefieren comer lombrices en la manana y fruta mas tarde durante el dia, y este probablemente estaba buscando algo para comer, pero yo estaba fascinada con sus plumas!!

How much joy we can get from them!! Listening to their songs, seeing them, their beauty and their flying grace, and their freedom that allows all of us to enjoy them around us!!
Cuanto gozo podemos conseguir de ellos!! Escuchando sus cantos, viendolos, su belleza y su gracia al volar, y su libertad que nos permite a todos disfrutarlos a nuestro alrededor!!

Chinese garden - Jardin Chino.

This week I went to Chinatown, in Vancouver, with my friend Lilly and her children (she needed to get something from there), and even I was in a little rush, we went to visit a beautiful Chinese garden for some minutes, and I'm glad she convinced me, was my first time there and really enjoyed visiting it, now we are planning to come back but with more time!!
Esta semana fui al barrio Chino, en Vancouver, con mi amiga Lilly y sus ninos (ella necesitaba conseguir algo alli), y aunque yo estaba con algo de afan, fuimos a visitar un hermoso jardin Chino por algunos minutos, y estoy agradecida que me convencio, fue mi primera vez alli y realmente disfrute visitandolo, ahora estamos planeando volver pero con mas tiempo!!

Ellos son los duenos de Bella, la contorsionista!!

"What?, Were you enjoying looking at me meanwhile I was stretching?"
"Que?, Estabas disfrutando mirandome mientras me estaba estirando?"

"I also want to go out!!", in the stroller.
"Yo tambien quiero salir!!", en el coche de los ninos.

And before we went to Chinatown, she cut my hair, and did my nails too (look at the little flowers!!)
Y antes de que fueramos al barrio Chino, me corto el cabello, y tambien pinto mis unas (miren las florecitas!!)
 

I'm very happy with my "new look", and John also liked it!!
Yo quede muy contenta con mi "nuevo look", y a John tambien le gusto!!

A lovely garden, worth visiting. Beautiful and peaceful, a hidden gem in the middle of downtown Vancouver!!
Un jardin precioso, que vale la pena visitar. Hermoso y pacifico, una joya oculta en medio del centro de Vancouver!!

A wonderful place to calm down and enjoy the peace, joy, and beauty it has to offer!!
Un lugar maravilloso para calmarse y disfrutar de la paz, el gozo, y la belleza que nos ofrece!!

This is the first Chinese garden built outside of China!! Like an oasis in the middle of the city!!
Este es el primer jardin Chino construido fuera de China!! Como un oasis en el medio de la ciudad!!

Breathtaking, a window to another world!!
When my older sister (Pilar) was here in 2008, she was mentioning that sometimes she felt like being in China, or India, or somewhere else, of course, depending what places we were visiting!! And being here, really made me feel like being somewhere else!!
Imponente, como una ventana a otro mundo!!
Cuando mi hermana mayor (Pilar) estuvo aqui en el 2008, mencionaba que algunas veces se sentia como estando en China, o en India, o en algun otro lugar, por supuesto, dependiendo que lugares estabamos visitando!! Y estando aqui, realmente me hizo sentir como que estaba en otro lugar!!
 

So pretty, that is a World top city garden by National Geographic!!
Tan hermoso, que segun la National Geographic, esta catalogado como uno de los jardines de ciudad mas espectaculares del mundo!!
  

Let's joy, happiness, and love bloom in our hearts, as trees and flowers bloom during Spring!!
Dejemos que el gozo, la felicidad, y el amor florezcan en nuestros corazones, como los arboles y las flores florecen durante la primavera!!

And just before leaving, a beautiful camellia's tree blooming and with some flowers already open!!
Y justo antes de irnos, un hermoso arbol de camelias floreciendo y ya con algunas abiertas!!

I came back crossing Bear creek park again, and even I wasn't planning to stop to take pictures (remember, I was in a little rush), when I saw this duck and his gorgeous wings feathers from above, I couldn't resist the temptation!!
Regrese cruzando el parque Quebrada del oso de nuevo, y aunque no estaba planeando detenerme a tomar fotos (recuerden, estaba con algo de afan), cuando vi este pato y las magnificas plumas de sus alas desde arriba, no pude resistir la tentacion!!

Arabella

Last week I went with a friend to move her horse, Arabella, from where she was to a new place.
It was a sunny, little cold, and windy day, but seeing Arabella enjoying its new place and new "friends" was just great!!
La semana pasada fui con una amiga a mover su yegua, Arabella, de donde estaba a un lugar nuevo. Fue un dia soleado, un poco frio, y con viento, pero el ver a Arabella disfrutando su nuevo hogar y nuevas "amigas" fue simplemente grandioso!!

"Hey, look my new stall, it looks great!!" seems to be saying.
"Hey, miren mi nuevo establo, luce genial!!" parece estar diciendo. 

As I mentioned before, it was a windy day, and she was probably loving the wind playing with her mane!!
Como mencione antes, fue un dia con viento, y ella probablemente estaba encantada con el viento jugando con su crin!!

It seems the goats are asking "Who is that one?"!!
Parece que las cabras estan preguntando "Quien es esa?"!!

"I'm Arabella, who are you?", meanwhile enjoying her new home for the first time!!
"Yo soy Arabella, quienes son ustedes?", mientras esta disfrutando de su nuevo hogar por primera vez!! 

They are very sociable and easily accept animals of other species (like horses) as companions, I'm pretty sure that after a little while they were enjoying with their new friend!!
Son muy sociables y facilmente aceptan animales de otras especies (como caballos) como compania, estoy segura que luego de un rato estaban disfrutando con su nueva amiga!!
   

It was funny to see them being curious about each other,  and I'm thankful as well for all the laughs I had with them that day!!
Fue gracioso ver la curiosidad entre ellas, y tambien estoy agradecida por las veces que me hicieron reir ese dia!!
 

It seems their curiosity was greater than their fear!! We didn't see the goats and Arabella together, but even it probably took some time, for sure that afternoon they were together sharing the pasture!!
Parece que su curiosidad fue mas grande que su miedo!! No vimos las cabras y Arabella juntas, pero aunque probablemente tomo algo de tiempo, seguro que esa tarde ya estaban compartiendo el prado!!

Crocuses!! - Azafran!!

Spring is appearing everywhere, and today I want you to enjoy with me some of the first flowers that are adorning gardens and parks around!!
La primavera ya esta apareciendo por todos lados, y hoy quiero que disfruten conmigo algunas de las primeras flores que estan adornando jardines y parques alrededor!!

Spring has began, and between these crocuses and more flowers coming, hope you're as ready as I am to enjoy more beauty around!!
La primavera ha comenzado, y entre los azafranes y mas flores en camino, espero que esten tan listos como yo para disfrutar mas belleza alrededor!!

Never doubt spring will come after winter, and for the ones still having some winter weather, continue with hope that better weather is on its way!!
Nunca dudemos que la primavera vendra despues del invierno, y para aquellos que aun tienen algo del clima de invierno, sigan con esperanza que un clima mejor viene en camino!!

Saffron comes from crocuses, and is the most expensive spice in the world because one ounce of saffron requires 80.000 flowers!!
El azafran viene de esta flor, y es la especia mas cara del mundo porque una onza de azafran requiere 80.000 flores!!
 

Spring, new life everywhere!! After winter, it's like everything is back to life again. What a magical season!!
Primavera, vida nueva por todos lados!! Luego del invierno, es como si todo reviviera de nuevo. Que estacion mas magica!!

La abundancia de la naturaleza siempre aparece fantasticamente hermosa durante la primavera. Es como si estuviera regresando a reconquistar el mundo con su belleza!!

It seems like the flowers are saying "Never give up hope, because as spring, we're back every year!!"
Parece como si las flores estuvieran diciendo "Nunca pierdas la esperanza, porque como la primavera, regresamos cada ano!!"
 

After a long and hard winter for some of you, the promise that spring always follows is here!! And now is time to remember that the most beautiful springs are normally those that come after a terrible winter!!
Luego de un largo y duro invierno para algunos de ustedes, la promesa de que la primavera siempre es la que sigue ya esta aqui!! Y ahora es el momento para recordar que las mas hermosas primaveras son las que normalmente vienen luego de un invierno terrible!!

Spring, time for hope, for joy, for happiness, for beauty and color, and for many other wonderful things!!
Primavera, tiempo de esperanza, de gozo, de felicidad, de belleza y color, y muchas otras cosas maravillosas!!

This is a new one for me!! It's wonderful to continue discovering new plants, new beautiful things that somehow make my life even prettier!!
Una nueva para mi!! Es maravilloso continuar descubriendo nuevas plantas, nuevas cosas hermosas que de alguna forma hacen mi vida aun mas bella!!

Even purple and white are the ones I see the most, yellow is another common color for these flowers, and how pretty all of them are!!

Aunque moraditas y blancas son las que mas veo, amarillo es otro color comun en estas flores, y que hermosas son todas ellas!!

Monday evening. During the weekend, and Monday as well, the blinds in our living room were open, I just wanted to enjoy every minute of this precious event!!
Lunes en la tarde. Durante el fin de semana, y el lunes tambien, la persiana en nuestro salon estuvo abierta, simplemente queria disfrutar cada minuto de este evento tan precioso!!

And loving the snow as much as I do, try to walk just around the borders, don't want to "disturb" the perfection of the white blanket!!
Y adorando la nieve tanto como lo hago, trato de caminar por los bordes, para no "perturbar" la perfeccion de esa manta blanca!!

Tuesday morning. Stopped snowing, but what a stunning beauty we had around!!
Martes en la manana. Paro de nevar, pero que belleza tan deslumbrante teniamos alrededor!!

That day I went to babysit the children of some friends, and crossing another park to go there, was fascinated with the color of the sky and the trees "dusted" with snow!!
Ese dia fui a cuidar los ninos de unos amigos, y cruzando otro parque para ir a su casa, estaba fascinada con el color del cielo y los arboles "espolvoreados" con nieve!!
 

And look at the clouds!! Looks like having a marked limit!!
Y miren las nubes!! Parecen como si tuvieran un limite marcado!!

It's kind of funny that enjoying the snow so much, I normally am not interested in making snowmen, but I enjoy seeing the ones other people make!!
Es como gracioso que disfrutando tanto de la nieve, normalmente no estoy interesada en hacer munecos de nieve, pero disfruto los que otra gente hace!!
 

After the responses to the last blog, I can only say, again, that I'm fortunate to live here, where we can appreciate beautiful scenarios like this one, without having extremes!!
Luego de las respuestas al blog anterior, solo puedo decir, de nuevo, que soy afortunada de vivir aqui, donde podemos apreciar hermosos escenarios como este, sin irnos a los extremos!!

Do you remember that some months ago I posted a squirrel trying to reach this nest?, here you have it again, covered with snow!!
Se acuerdan que hace unos meses puse una foto de una ardilla tratando de llegar a este nido?, aqui lo tienen de nuevo, cubierto de nieve!!

Y Bella de nuevo, gozando la cama del hijo de mis amigos!!

It can sounds ''not logical'', but snow provides insulation!!, and even the flowers are out, the roots are under a layer of snow which temperature can be much warmer than the air temperature!!
Puede sonar ''ilogico'', pero la nieve provee aislamiento!!, y aunque las flores estan afuera, las raices estan bajo una capa de nieve cuya temperatura puede ser mucho mas tibia que la temperatura del aire!!
  

I'm sorry you couldn't be there at that moment, the picture didn't catch half of the magnificence of the sun rays through the branches, was something breathtaking!!
Siento que no hayan podido estar ahi en ese momento, la foto no capturo ni la mitad de la magnificencia de los rayos del sol a traves de las ramas, fue algo imponente!!
   

No more snowing, but even with some snow around, time for the squirrels to go out!!
Ya sin nevar, pero aunque con algo de nieve alrededor, es hora de salir para las ardillas!!

And taking the camera out of my pocket, this one probably thought I had food, and followed me for some seconds ......
Y sacando la camara del bolsillo, esta probablemente penso que tenia comida, y me siguio por algunos segundos ......

"You really don't have anything for me?" seems asking!! And stayed there.
"Realmente no tienes nada para mi?" parece estar preguntando!! Y se quedo ahi.

Wednesday morning had an appointment and as I needed to walk a little further to take the bus, went through the park again!! And there it was, another squirrel that seems to be asking itself, "should I go, or not?"
El miercoles en la manana tenia una cita y como necesitaba tomar el bus algo mas lejos, me fui por el parque de nuevo!! Y ahi estaba, otra ardilla que parece estarse preguntando, "deberia ir, o no?"   

Yes, its white chest can camouflage with the snow, but the rest of it is pretty visible, and that's why Winter is the best season to view wild birds, because in snow-covered surroundings, it's a lot easier to notice their activities!!
Si, su pecho blanco se puede camuflar con la nieve, pero el resto es bastante visible, y es por eso que invierno es la mejor estacion para ver pajaritos silvestres, porque con los alrededores cubiertos en nieve, es mucho mas facil notar sus actividades!!
 

And after the appointment, no doubt, I came back the same way!! I know they are just a couple of ducks, but I'm very grateful I can enjoy them, the snow, and this moment as well!!
Y luego de la cita, sin duda, regrese por el mismo camino!! Ya se que son solo un par de patos, pero estoy muy agradecida que los puedo disfrutar, a la nieve, y este momento tambien!!

I was mentioning John the other day that as humans, we take so many things for granted!! But how lucky we are having the necessary senses (like sight, hearing, smell, touch) to enjoy our surroundings!!
Le mencionaba a John el otro dia que como humanos que somos, tomamos muchas cosas por garantizadas!! Pero que afortunados somos teniendo los sentidos necesarios (como la vista, la audicion, el olfato, el tacto) para disfrutar de nuestros alrededores!!

Thursday, Bear creek park. Again, coming back from work, and of course, through the park to continue enjoying the snow and the animals around!!
Jueves. Parque quebrada del oso. De nuevo, regresando de trabajar, y por supuesto, cruzando el parque para continuar disfrutando de la nieve y los animales alrededor!!

The day before I saw this part of the park from the other side, and this day I decided to go for the first time and take pictures there!!
El dia anterior vi esta parte del parque desde el otro lado, y este dia decidi ir por primera vez y tomar fotos alli!!
 

And glad I did, because also for the first time, saw this kind of seed!!
Y me alegro de haberlo hecho, porque tambien por primera vez, vi esta clase de semilla!!

Was trying to find another way to go to the other side, but couldn't, then I came back the same way!!
Estaba tratando de encontrar otra forma de pasar al otro lado, pero no pude, asi que regrese por el mismo camino!!

Yes, some parts still covered with snow, but some others like this one, with the snow melting and letting me to pick up more of these pine cones!!
Si, algunas partes aun cubiertas con nieve, pero otras como esta, con la nieve derritiendose y dejandome recoger mas de estas pinas de pino!!
  

And almost exiting the park, a black squirrel enjoying some seeds!! It was full of birds and squirrels, but this one was the only one that stayed, the others probably came back later, once I was gone!!
Y ya casi saliendo del parque, una ardilla negra disfrutando de algunas semillas!!  Estaba lleno de pajaritos y ardillas, pero esta fue la unica que se quedo, los demas probablemente regresaron luego, una vez me fui!!
