Family, Seasons, celebrations, everyone and everything that sometimes we give for granted, but that we need to realize that they are all blessings in our lives. Let's give thanks and enjoy them meanwhile we still ''have'' them!!
La familia, las estaciones, celebraciones, todos y todo lo que a veces damos por garantizado, pero que necesitamos darnos cuenta de que son bendiciones en nuestras vidas. Demos gracias y disfrutemoslas mientras aun las ''tengamos''!!

My aunt, my mom's youngest sister, and the only aunt I have still alive, with her husband, children, in-laws, and grandchildren.

This is a building in front of a bus station I use sometimes. It's a mall and an university as well!!
Este es un edificio frente a una estacion de buses que uso a veces. Es un centro comercial y universidad tambien!! 

The tallest building is part of the Simon Fraser University.
El edificio mas alto es parte de la Universidad Simon Fraser.
    

Love this Christmas tree, and also the deer (or reindeer?) and shorter tree, that are new this year!!
Me encanta el arbol de Navidad, y tambien el ciervo (o reno?) y el arbolito mas pequeno, que son nuevos  este ano!!
 

Remember Holland park? we have been enjoying such a nice weather, that some plants are still blooming, can you see it?!!
Recuerdan el parque Holanda? hemos estado disfrutando de un clima tan agradable, que algunas plantas aun estan floreciendo, las pueden ver?!!

It was around 4:30 p.m., and between the lights and its decorations, and the low natural light still present, what a nice evening I captured in this picture!!

At the airport! - En el aeropuerto!

It's always nice to have visitors, but once they leave, we can only ''dream'' about the next time we'll be together again!!

Siempre es agradable tener visitantes, pero una vez se van, solo nos queda ''sonar'' con la proxima vez que estaremos juntos de nuevo!!

7:00 a.m. Leaving to the airport, and after a ''cool'' night, the car windows ''frozen''!!
7:00 a.m. Saliendo para el aeropuerto, y luego de una ''fria'' noche, los vidrios del carro ''congelados'' (con hielo)!!

Clock, yes, it's a clock!, inside Abbotsford airport. It was around 8:20 a.m., don't know if you can see it!!
Reloj, si, es un reloj!, dentro del aeropuerto de Abbotsford. Eran mas o menos las 8:20 a.m., no se si pueden verlo!!

Was my second time at this airport, and yes, the clock called my attention!! John and Dan in front of it.
Fue mi segunda vez en este aeropuerto, y si, el reloj llamo mi atencion!! John y Dan frente al reloj.

Enjoying the visit!! - Disfrutando de la visita!!

Last Wednesday, one of John brothers, Dan, came to visit for a few days, and this post has some of the pictures I took during his visit, enjoy them!!
El pasado miercoles, uno de los hermanos de John, Dan, vino de visita por unos pocos dias, y esta tanda tiene algunas de las fotos que tome durante su visita, disfrutenlas!!

The purpose of life should be to enjoy it to the most, every minute of every day of our lives!! We really need to enjoy every little thing in our lives, and the ''big things'' as well, like family, friends, everyone and everything that gives as joy!!
El proposito de la vida deberia ser disfrutarla al maximo, cada minuto de cada dia de nuestras vidas!! Realmente necesitamos disfrutar de cada pequena cosa en nuestras vidas, y tambien de las ''grandes cosas'' como la familia, las amistades, todos y todo lo que nos produce gozo en nuestras vidas!!
      

And for us, every opportunity to enjoy our favorite park is a blessing. This one was kind of a cool morning, but as it wasn't raining we took John's brother to Bear creek park!!
Y para nosotros, cada oportunidad que tenemos para disfrutar nuestro parque favorito es una bendicion. Esta fue una manana algo fria, pero como no estaba lloviendo llevamos al hermano de John al parque quebrada del oso!!

It wasn't raining at that moment, but it was before we arrived and you can notice it in the water drops in the ''hairs''!!
No estaba lloviendo en ese momento, pero si antes de que nosotros llegaramos y lo pueden notar en las gotas de agua en los ''pelitos''!!
  

It's not about how long we can live, it's about how we live every minute of our life!!
No se trata de sobre cuantos anos viviremos, es sobre como vivimos cada minuto de nuestra vida!!

And for sure we were enjoying the visit and the surroundings as well!!
Y den por seguro que estabamos disfrutando de la visita y de los alrededores tambien!!

No doubt we couldn't miss ''our chapel'' during the visit!! (This is the ''Chapel in the woods'', where we got married!)
Sin duda no podiamos perdernos ''nuestra capilla'' durante la visita!! (Esta es la ''Capilla en el bosque'', donde nos casamos!)

And either, take advantage of Dan to take a picture of us!!
Y tampoco, aprovecharnos de Dan para tomarnos una foto!!

Blue martins houses. Look at the little holes in each ''cubicle'', I'm amazed how they can enter through them!!
Casas para golondrinas azules. Miren los huequitos en cada ''cubiculo'', me asombra como pueden entrar por ahi!!

Even squirrels don't hibernate, they prepare for Winter months, eating and storing nuts and seeds for whenever food scarce!!
Aunque las ardillas no hibernan, se preparan para los meses de invierno, comiendo y almacenando nueces y semillas para cuando la comida escasea!!
 

Good that this one is eating the food. Sometimes when burying the seeds, they forgot where they put them, causing the seeds to become trees!!
Que bien que esta esta comiendo su comida. Algunas veces cuando entierran las semillas, se olvidan de donde las pusieron, y las semillas su convierten en arboles!!
    

Wanna be very happy? Just make the most of everything that comes along your way, every day of your life. And having Dan visiting was really great!!
Deseas ser muy feliz? Simplemente haz lo mejor de cada cosa que se atraviese en tu camino, cada dia de tu vida. Y el tener a Dan de visita fue realmente grandioso!!

And once leaving, these 3 squirrels (black and brown-grey ones) were enjoying their ''lunch''. (I think the people working in the park feed them!!)
Y cuando ya saliamos, estas 3 ardillas (negra y cafe-grisaceas) estaban disfrutando su ''almuerzo''. (Creo que los empleados del parque les alimentan!!) 

Love this one!! Did you know that the position of their eyes help them to have a wide range of vision?, that way they don't need to turn their head back and forth!!
Me encanta esta!! Sabian que la posicion de sus ojos les ayudan a tener un mayor rango de vision?, asi ellas no tienen que girar su cabeza de un lado a otro!!
 

But without delay, the squirrel continued enjoying its lunch!!
Pero sin demora, la ardilla continuo disfrutando su almuerzo!!
  

Squirrels are from the ''rodents'' family and because of its similarity with rats, the black ones are my less favorites, but find them cute anyway!!
Las ardillas son de la familia de los ''roedores'' y debido a su similitud con las ratas, las negras son mis menos favoritas, aunque igual las encuentro adorables!!

Remembrance Day, my father-in-law with 3 of his sons. Max, at his left, the oldest one and the one who lives with them, then Austin behind him, who came to visit us last May, and Dan, at his right, the one who came to visit this time!!
Remembrance Day (el dia de recordar a los caidos en guerra), mi suegro con 3 de sus hijos. Max, a su izquierda, el mayor y que vive con ellos, luego Austin, detras de el, que vino a visitarnos el pasado Mayo, y Dan, a su derecha, el que vino de visita esta vez!!

November!! - Noviembre!!

After some days of taking a couple of pictures here and there, today I'm posting most of them, some from the last week of October, and some from November as well!!
Luego de varios dias de estar tomando unas pocas fotos aqui y alli, hoy estoy bajando varias de ellas, algunas de la ultima semana de Octubre, y otras de Noviembre tambien!!

Some days ago I went to an appointment (job), and this is a street near where the appointment was. Yes, a lot of leaves on the sidewalk, that in my opinion add some ''charm'' to the picture, but I'm sure some people won't think that way, like the ones who need to clean them!!
Hace algunos dias fui a una cita (de trabajo), y esta es una calle cercana a donde tuve la cita. Si, muchas hojas en la acera, que en mi opinion le anaden ''encanto'' a la foto, pero estoy segura que algunas personas no piensan asi, como las que tienen que limpiarles!!

Summer is gone, Winter is coming, but meanwhile, let's enjoy everything Autumn offers us!!
Ya paso el verano, ya viene el invierno, pero mientras tanto, vamos a disfrutar de todo lo que el otono nos ofrece!!

How not to be amazed with all this beauty? Even a little cold outside, these ''fire'' colors make me feel very ''warm'' inside!! 
Como no maravillarse con tanta belleza? Aun con algo de frio afuera, estos colores de ''fuego'' con seguridad  me hacen sentir ''muy calientita'' por dentro!!

''What? It's still Autumn and even the branches don't have anymore leaves, we're here to show you that Winter isn't here yet!!''
''Que? Aun es otono y aunque las ramas ya no tienen mas hojas, aqui estamos nosotras para mostrarte que todavia no ha llegado el invierno!!''

Oct. 31st. A cold and foggy morning, but still showing some signs of Autumn, like the squirrel (left, bottom corner, on the sidewalk), getting ''provisions'' for the Winter months!!
Oct. 31. Una manana fria y con neblina, pero aun mostrando signos de otono, como la ardilla (a la izquierda, esquina de abajo, en la acera), consiguiendo ''provisiones'' para los meses de invierno!!

We should be very grateful with so many gifts nature gives us, like being able to enjoy the squirrel enjoying its gift from nature!!
Deberiamos ser bien agradecidos por todos los regalos que la naturaleza nos da, como poder disfrutar de la ardilla disfrutando su regalo de la naturaleza!!

I love the ''mentality'' people here has for parks. They are here to benefit all people, to be ''used'' by everyone!!
Adoro la ''mentalidad'' que la gente aqui tiene por los parques. Estan aqui para beneficiar a toda la gente, para ser ''usados'' por todos!!

We can enjoy stunning parks like this one (Central Park, Burnaby), that raining or with the sun shining, its splendor can inspire and soothe all of us!!
Podemos gozar de parques tan espectaculares como este (Parque Central, Burnaby), que lloviendo o haciendo sol, su esplendor nos inspira y nos relaja!!

Awesome Autumn!! Every season has its own charm, and Autumn with all its vivid colors isn't an exception!!
Otono espectacular!! Cada estacion tiene su propio encanto, y el otono con todos sus vividos colores no es una excepcion!!
 

Parks here are considered ''treasures'', and how lucky and what a treasure it's that we all can enjoy them!!
Los parques aqui son considerados ''tesoros'', y que afortunados y que tesoro tenemos al todos poderlos disfrutar!!

But still a long way to go, making me very glad to be able to take these pictures with a lot of leaves on the ground (something I love from these pictures)!!
Pero aun con mucho por hacer, lo que me dio mucha alegria pues pude tomar estas fotos con muchas hojas en el suelo (algo que me encanta de estas fotos)!!

From the skytrain station. I can only imagine how happy the people living in these buildings must be, enjoying all these precious colors from their windows. Fortunately I don't need to live there to enjoy them!!
Desde la estacion del Metro. Solo puedo imaginarme lo feliz que debe ser la gente que vive en estos edificios, gozando estos preciosos colores desde sus ventanas. Afortunadamente no necesito vivir ahi para disfrutarlos!!
     

Nov. 4th. We went to John's appointments and between the tests and talking to the Oncologist and the nurse, we had some time for lunch, and this ''fungus colony'' was in front of a building besides the cancer agency!! Some of them look like ''eggs'', first time I see that ones!!
Nov. 4. Fuimos a las citas de John y entre los tests y la cita con el Oncologo y la enfermera, tuvimos un rato para almorzar, y esta ''colonia de hongos'' estaba frente a un edificio al lado de la agencia de cancer!! Algunos de ellos lucen como ''huevos'', primera vez que veo esos!!

All mushrooms are edible, but some, only once (lol)!! No, we didn't ''try'' them, we know these ones are poisonous!!

Todos los hongos son comestibles, pero algunos, solo una vez (jajaja)!! No, no los ''probamos'', sabemos que estos son venenosos!!

This day we had a cool morning, but nice anyway, and I decided to walk to come back home from my office. This is the closest park to our place, and this day was the first time I decided to go through the park and enjoy a different path!!
Ese dia tuvimos una fria manana, pero agradable de todas formas, asi que decidi caminar para regresar a casa desde mi oficina. Este es el parque mas cercano a donde vivimos, y ese dia por primera vez decidi cruzar el parque y disfrutar de un camino diferente!!
  

It's our ''neighborhood'' park, and even it isn't too big, it's a charming one!!
Este es el parque de nuestro ''vecindario'', y aunque no es muy grande, es encantador!!

There is ''something'' about Autumn that really fascinates me!! The colors, the crispy air, rainy and sunny days as well, the falling leaves, the sounds of the dry leaves, it's every thing and everything at the same time!!
Hay ''algo'' sobre el otono que realmente me fascina!! Los colores, el aire crispado, los dias lluviosos y soleados tambien, las hojas cayendo, el sonido de las hojas secas, es cada cosa y todo a la vez!!

And of course, enjoying this beauty, no complaints about waiting times (for the bus)!!
Y por supuesto, disfrutando de esta belleza, no me quejo por tener que esperar (por el bus)!!

I wish I could stop everywhere I want to take pictures from, but at least I have the opportunity to take some in places where I can stop!!
Desearia poder parar en todas las partes donde quiero tomar fotos, pero al menos tengo la oportunidad de tomar algunas en lugares donde si puedo parar!!
