Last night!! - La ultima noche!!

And as I mentioned the last time, here you have the last pictures of the cruise, the night before arriving to Vancouver!!
The show that night was "Dancing with the Starts at Sea", great show, very funny (some of the dancers were not "very good" at it!!) and nice!! 
Y como mencione la ultima vez, aqui tienen las ultimas fotos del crucero, la noche antes de llegar a Vancouver!!
El espectaculo de esa noche fue "Bailando con las Estrellas en el Mar", un show fabuloso, muy simpatico (algunos de los bailarines no eran "muy buenos"!!) y agradable!!

And what a gorgeous moon we had to say goodbye to an spectacular cruise!!
Y que luna mas grandiosa para decirle adios a un crucero espectacular!!

Inside Passage - Pasaje Interior

Last day before arriving to Vancouver!! Sad but glad to come back home too, with all the great memories we had from a wonderful trip, and the pictures I can share with all of you!!!!
El ultimo dia antes de regresar a Vancouver!! Triste pero tambien feliz de regresar a casa, con todos los recuerdos grandiosos que tenemos de nuestro maravilloso viaje, y las fotos que puedo compartir con todos ustedes!!!!

Yes, more whales (one "breathing" almost in the middle of the picture)!!! We were inside a dining room, that's the reason for the colors and some reflection!!
Si, mas ballenas (una respirando como por la mitad de la foto)!!! Estabamos dentro de un comedor, y esa es la razon de esos colores y algo de reflejo!!

It took me 14 years to have this dream becoming true, but now I'm completely happy it came true, it doesn't matter how long I waited for it!! Because .... "Sometimes in life our blessings come early. Sometimes they come late. But they always come and they're always on time." Pearl Fryar.
Me tomo 14 anos que este sueno se hiciera realidad, pero ahora estoy feliz que se hizo realidad, sin importar cuanto espere por el!! Porque .... "Algunas veces en la vida nuestras bendiciones llegan temprano. Algunas veces llegan tarde. Pero siempre llegan y siempre a tiempo." Pearl Fryar.

Como no relajarse con una vista como esta? Mi hermana seguro que estaba relajada ... y yo tambien!!

It's impossible not to feel blessed enjoying so much beauty!!!
Es imposible no sentirse bendecida disfrutando tanta belleza!!!

No matter what I'm going through, I always try to be more positive than negative. Because I know that every situation has at least one positive thing!! And more I see the positive, more positive my life becomes!!
Sin importar por lo que este pasando, siempre trato de ser mas positiva que negativa. Porque se que cada situacion tiene al menos una cosa positiva!! Y mientras mas veo lo positivo, mas positiva se vuelve mi vida!!

Each day is a new day. We were coming back, cruising Inside Passage again, but enjoying it again, and being even more fascinated with its beauty!! We need to live every day without being "stolen" by the past we cannot change or the future we don't know yet!!
Cada dia es un nuevo dia. Estabamos de regreso, navegando el Pasaje Interior de nuevo, disfrutandolo de nuevo, y estando aun mas fascinadas con su belleza!! Necesitamos vivir cada dia sin que sea "robado" por el pasado que no podemos cambiar o el futuro que no conocemos aun!!
 

Sometimes the "simplest" things are the most spectacular ones too, and this picture is proof of it!!
Algunas veces las cosas "mas simples" son tambien las mas espectaculares, y esta foto es prueba de ello!!

Most of you know I had been in many places around the world, then believe me when I say I think this is one of the most spectacular places (talking about natural beauty) on our planet Earth!!
La mayoria de ustedes saben que he estado en muchas partes del mundo, asi que creanme cuando digo que creo que este es uno de los lugares mas espectaculares (hablando sobre belleza natural) en nuestro planeta Tierra!!
 

The perfect way to come back, slowing down before returning home, treasuring every second, taking everything easy and breathing deeply meanwhile "absorbing" all the benefits a place like this can bring to us!!
La manera perfecta de regresar, bajando el ritmo antes de retornar a casa, atesorando cada segundo, tomandonos todo con calma y respirando profundamente mientras "absorbemos" todos los beneficios que un lugar como este nos puede brindar!!

And having these beauties in the tables every time we were going to this restaurant was something that helps me to remember this cruise even in a prettier way!!!

Y el tener estas bellezas en las mesas cada vez que ibamos a este restaurante fue algo que me ayuda a recordar este crucero en una forma aun mas hermosa!!!

Y con esta belleza de orquideas termino esta tanda. Estuvieron ahi desde el primer dia del crucero, y tan hermosas el ultimo dia tambien!!

 

Ketchikan - Alaska.

Ketchikan was the last port of our cruise. Alaska's first city, small but very picturesque, and the salmon capital of the world ..... according to them!!
Ketchikan fue el ultimo puerto de nuestro crucero. La primera ciudad de Alaska, pequena pero muy pinturesca, y la capital mundial del salmon ..... segun ellos!!

And we began our day visiting a park near the port, where the totems trail begins.
Y comenzamos nuestro dia visitando un parque cerca al puerto, donde comienza el camino de los totems. 

A little but very nice park, with "unique" benches around!!
Un pequeno pero muy bonito parque, con unas bancas "unicas" alrededor!!
 

Another one with my sister, because she tried to take some with me, but once I downloaded them to my laptop that night, no benches with me sat on them!!
Otra con mi hermana, porque ella trato de tomar algunas conmigo, pero una vez las baje esa noche a mi laptop, no bancas conmigo sentada en ellas!!

And as I mentioned at the beginning of this post, Ketchikan was Alaska's first city and also the salmon capital of the world, that I was amazed how expensive it is there, cheaper here in Canada and as good as the one we tried there!!
Y como mencione al principio de esta tanda, Ketchikan fue la primera ciudad de Alaska y tambien la capital mundial del salmon, que me quede asombrada lo caro que es alli, mas barato aqui en Canada y tan bueno como el que probamos alli!!

Sometimes I felt we were like in a river instead of the ocean, so calm!!!
Algunas veces me senti como que estabamos en un rio en vez del oceano, tan calmado!!!

And after leaving Pilar resting, I went to continue exploring!!
Y luego de dejar a Pilar descansando, yo me fui a continuar explorando!!

I didn't see any salmon going up stream, but can you imagine going against this?, really admirable!!
No vi ningun salmon llendo corriente arriba, pero se imaginan el ir contra esto?, realmente admirables!!

One thing that I like a lot is to see how proud they are of their culture, showing it up with a lot of totems around the city!! This one at the University of Alaska, Ketchikan campus.
Una cosa que me gusta mucho es ver el orgullo por su cultura, mostrandolo con una cantidad de totems alrededor de la ciudad!! Este en la Universidad de Alaska, el campus de Ketchikan.
 

Can you see the black bear? The date is right, the 1,000,000 visitor is a joke!!
Pueden ver el oso negro? La fecha es correcta (Junio de 1998), pero lo de ser el visitante 1,000,000,000 es broma!!

I don't know about you, but it completely looks like a dinosaur to me!! What I'm asking myself is, where did they get the image of a dinosaur?!!!
No se a ustedes, pero a mi me parece que luce como un dinosaurio!! Lo que me pregunto es, de donde sacaron la imagen de un dinosaurio?!!! 

This center has the largest collection of unrestored 19th. century totem poles, totems more than 100 years old retrieved from abandoned villages and preserved there!!
Este centro tiene la coleccion mas grande de totems sin restaurar del siglo 19, totems de mas de 100 anos recuperados de pueblos abandonados y preservados aqui!!

And here another of the "common" rainbows in Alaska!! And yes, I took the picture in angle for you to see only the trees and the rainbow!!
Y aqui tienen otro de los "comunes" arcoiris en Alaska!! Y si, la tome en angulo para que solo vean los arboles y el arcoiris!!

And here too, a very long one!!
Y aqui tambien, bien largo!!

The most famous street in the used to be Ketchikan's "Red District". But now home to restaurants, stores, and a tourist attraction!!
La calle mas famosa en el que solia ser el "Distrito Rojo" de Ketchikan. Pero ahora lugar de restaurantes, tiendas, y una atraccion turistica!!

Creek street is built over the water because it was too difficult to blast away the rocky hills surrounding the creek. Something "common" in Ketchikan as a large part of the city was literally built over the water!!!
Creek street (la calle de la quebrada) esta construida sobre el agua debido a la dificultad de detonar las colinas rocosas que rodean la quebrada. Algo "comun" en Ketchikan pues una gran parte de la ciudad fue construida sobre el agua!!!

If the streets could talk, I can imagine how many stories this street will be telling!!! 

Si las calles pudieran hablar, me puedo imaginar la cantidad de historias que esta calle estaria contando!!!

With a lot of totems around, this one was one of my favorites, the "birds", the colors, and such a beautiful blue sky!!
Con una gran cantidad de totems alrededor, este fue uno de mis favoritos, las "aves", los colores, y un hermoso cielo azul!!

And after a great exploration, came back enjoying a fabulous weather!!
Y luego de una exploracion grandiosa, regrese disfrutando de un clima fabuloso!!
 

And once back from my walk, we went to a "class" to learn how to do towel animals!!
Y una vez regrese de mi caminada, fuimos a una "clase" para aprender como hacer los animales de toalla!!

And closer to the end of our cruise, of course we were trying even more to enjoy every second, and with a sunset like this one, how not to?!!
Y mas cerca del final de nuestro crucero, por supuesto estabamos tratando de disfrutar aun mas cada segundo, y con un atardecer como este, como no?!!

Just some minutes later and look at the difference!!
Solo unos minutos mas tarde y miren la diferencia!!

And now time for dinner, with a great salmon buffet (between other things!!) and these beautiful carved watermelons!!
Y ahora hora de la cena, con un grandioso buffet de salmon (entre otras cosas!!) y estas preciosas sandias talladas!!

All of them carved by the same person!!
Todas talladas por la misma persona!!

And I'm posting just 3, I counted at least a dozen!!
Y apenas estoy bajando 3 de ellas, yo conte al menos una docena!!

And now, time to go and enjoy a beautiful evening, leaving Ketchikan and our last port of the cruise!!
Y ahora, hora de disfrutar el comienzo de una hermosa noche, partiendo de Ketchikan y nuestro ultimo puerto del crucero!!

What a gorgeous moon!!! I forgot the tripod at home, but was able to take some beautiful pictures of the moon during the cruise ..... and with the small camera!!
Que luna mas preciosa!!! Me olvide el tripode en casa, pero pude tomar unas cuantas fotos hermosas de la luna durante el crucero ..... y con la camara pequena!!
