End of the trip - Final del viaje

Well, finally you'll be able to see the last pictures of the trip!! Was a great weekend and hopefully soon we'll be able to enjoy another one as good or even better than this last one!! Sunday and Monday, Aug. 5 & 6, 2012.
Bueno, finalmente ya podran ver las ultimas fotos del viaje!! Fue un formidable fin de semana y esperemos que pronto podamos disfrutar de otro tan bueno o aun mejor que este ultimo!! Domingo y lunes, Agosto 5 y 6, 2012.

 Most of you know I'm not a morning person ....... but fortunately, even before noon, we were still able to enjoy the moon!!!!
Muchos de ustedes saben que no me gusta ''madrugar'' ..... pero afortunadamente, aun antes del mediodia,  pudimos disfrutar de la luna!!!

 And by air, by sea, however we can, many of us go out and enjoy!!!
Y por aire, por mar, como podamos, muchos de nosotros salimos y disfrutamos!!!

 Even with kayaks!!! Entering one of the marinas we stayed. Aun con kayaks!!!! Entrando a una de las marinas en las que estuvimos.

Hermoso Esperanza, que nos da la oportunidad de disfrutar de viajes como este!!

 One of the beaches we visited, at Galiano Island. Una de las playas que visitamos, en la isla de Galiano.

 The other side. Kind of in the middle, a little more to the right of the picture, is a hydroplane. El otro lado. Mas o menos en la mitad, un poquito mas hacia la derecha de la foto, hay un hidroplano.

 Yes, the first one is Esperanza!!!! Si, el primero es Esperanza!!!!

 Of course I'll be happier seeing it alive, but an interesting view anyway (a sea star)!!
Por supuesto seria mas feliz de verla viva, pero de todas formas algo interesante de ver (es una estrella de mar)!!

 Don't know if somebody putted it there, but gorgeous anyway!!
No se si alguien la puso ahi, pero hermosa de todas formas!!

 And more wild flowers to enjoy!! Y mas flores silvestres para disfrutar!!

 It was a very hot day, but being under the shadow of this big tree, not so much, at least for John!!
Fue un dia muy caliente, pero bajo la sombra de este gran arbol, no tanto, al menos para John!!

 And for other people and their pets, many other ways to enjoy!!!
Y para otra gente y sus mascotas, muchas otras formas de disfrutar!!!

 I was in front of it and believe me, was a mini crab!!! Estuve en frente y creanme, era un mini cangrejito!!!

 And meanwhile John was waiting for me under the tree, I went to explore a little more of the island!! This is one of the sides of the island, where we anchored, and you can see how many boats were there!!
Y mientras John me esperaba bajo el arbol, yo me fui a explorar un poco mas de la isla!! Este es un lado de la isla, donde anclamos, y pueden ver cuantos botes habia!!

 A humongous mushroom!!! Un hongo gigante!!!

 Another beach in another part of the island. I told John we could go to that one next time, less boats and very pretty!!
Otra playa en otra parte de la isla. Le dije a John que podemos ir a esta la proxima vez, menos botes y hermosa!!

 And here we can walk along the beach!! Y aqui podemos caminar por toda la playa!!
 

 And the one in front is another small island. Y la de enfrente es otra islita pequena.

 Isn't it pretty? No es hermosa?

 Don't know if it is from woodpeckers or humans!!! No se si es de pajaros carpinteros o humanos!!!

 How fortunate we are being able to visit and enjoy beautiful places like this one!!
Que afortunados somos de poder visitar y disfrutar de lugares como este!!

 Active pass, and now, you can see how active it's!! A big ferry going, a medium ferry coming, and a small, fast boat besides the big one. Paso Activo, y ahora ya pueden ver que tan activo es!! Un ferry grande saliendo, una mediano entrando, y una lancha rapida al lado del grande.

 A simple but beautiful panorama!! Un simple pero hermoso panorama!!

 And again, Active Pass, with the medium one in and the big one almost out.
Y de nuevo, paso Activo, con el mediano ya adentro y el grande casi afuera.

 Not very rough, but either calm!!!
No muy alborotado, pero tampoco calmado!!!

Nuestro pequeno bote (que usamos para ir a la orilla desde Esperanza), en aguas mas calmadas!!

 Already anchored, just besides the ferry terminal again, ready to enjoy our last night at sea!!
Ya anclados, al lado del terminal de ferries de nuevo, listos para disfrutar de la ultima noche en el mar!!
  

 And surprise, surprise, a sea otter came to ''visit'' us!!! First time in my life I can see one swimming freely (not in an aquarium)!!! Y sorpresa, sorpresa, una nutria vino a ''visitarnos''!!!! Primera vez en mi vida que puedo ver una nadando libremente (no en un acuario)!!!
 

And to finish that night with a golden bruch, what an spectacular sunset!!! Y para terminar esa noche con broche de oro, que atardecer tan espectacular!!

 Monday, coming back home and appreciating all the seals around us!!
Lunes, regresando a casa y apreciando todas las focas a nuestro alrededor!!

 It's great to go out, but coming back is also wonderful!!  Entering our marina.
Es grandioso salir, pero regresar es maravilloso tambien!! Entrando a nuestra marina.

 And once in, we still have many other things to enjoy, like these wild flowers in our deck!!
Y una vez adentro, aun con muchas cosas por disfrutar, como estas flores silvestres en nuestro muelle!!

Simplemente ahi, como dandonos la bienvenida, y listas para nosotros disfrutarlas!!

Beginning of the trip - Comienzo del viaje

I am beginning with some pictures of the first days, but will finish another time, a lot of them to post!!!!
Thursday night we went to sleep on the boat, John wanted to leave early Friday morning.
The first night (Friday) we anchored at Mayne's Island ferry terminal,  being able to enjoy the big ferries coming and going!!
Saturday we went to Pender Island, Port Browning, very popular and a little noisy, but nice anyway. We were there last year too. And today, I'm finishing there, will continue another time with the ones for Sunday and Monday.
Comienzo con algunas fotos de los primeros dias, pero terminare otro dia, muchas fotos para bajar!!!!
El jueves en la noche nos fuimos a dormir en el velero, John queria salir temprano el viernes en la manana.
La primera noche (viernes) anclamos en la terminal de los ferries de la isla de Mayne, donde pudimos disfrutar de los grandes ferries llendo y viniendo!!
El sabado nos fuimos para la isla de Pender, al puerto Browning, muy popular y algo ruidoso, pero agradable de todas formas. Tambien estuvimos alli el ano pasado. Y por hoy, termino alli, ya continuare otro dia con las del domingo y el lunes. 

 Thursday night, at the marina. Entry to our dock and a beautiful full moon night!!!
Jueves en la noche, en la marina. Entrada a nuestro muelle y con una noche preciosa de luna llena!!!

 Friday morning, pretty windy, but no, Esperanza wasn't heeling over, was just the angle I took the picture!!!!
Viernes en la manana, con viento, pero no, Esperanza no se estaba  ladeando, fue el angulo con el que tome la foto!!!!

 Already in the ocean but this is the wind break before going out to the open ocean!! Beginning of August and some mountains still with snow!!!
Ya en el mar pero esta es una barrera para el viento antes de salir al mar abierto!! Principios de Agosto y algunas montanas aun con nieve!!!

 Looks like a wreck but we aren't sure is a real one!!!! Luce como un naufragio pero no estamos seguros de que sea uno real!!!!

 Love this one, wanted the sun but just a little and really got it!!!! Me encanta esta, queria el sol pero solo un poco y lo consegui!!!!

 And of course, John really happy we were finally going out!!!!
Y por supuesto, John feliz que finalmente estabamos saliendo!!!!

 Going to Mayne Island, Active pass, and really honors the name, a very active pass with ferries and all kind of boats!!!
Llendo hacia la isla de Mayne, paso Activo, y realmente hace honor a su nombre, un paso muy activo con ferries y toda clase de botes!!!

 One of the BC Ferries, a very big one, fortunately, doesn't move our boat very much!!!
Uno de los ferries de British Columbia (BC), uno bien grande, pero afortunadamente, no hace mover mucho nuestro velero!!!

 Can you see the one behind John?, but no problem, HE can handle them!!!!! Pueden ver el que viene detras de John?, pero no hay problema, EL puede manejarlos!!!!!

 One of the new ones, got them for the 2010 Olympics. Uno de los nuevos, los consiguieron para los Olimpicos del 2010.
 

 Already anchored in front of Mayne Island. And after a long day, what a beautiful sunset to relax, enjoy and count our blessings!!! Ya anclados frente a la isla de Mayne. Y luego de un largo dia, que hermoso atardecer para relajarse, disfrutar y contar nuestras bendiciones!!!
 

 Enjoying God's creation, there for all of us who want to enjoy it!!!! Disfrutando de la creacion de Dios, ahi para todos los que queramos disfrutarla!!!!

 Saturday morning, going to Pender Island (Port Browning was our destination). Sabado en la manana, llendo hacia la isla de Pender (el puerto de Browning era nuestro destino).

 Don't you wanna live there? Us yes!!!, but maybe once retired!!!!
No quisieran vivir alli? Nosotros si!!!!!, pero de pronto cuando nos jubilemos!!!!

 Very little one and even looks aggressive, it is an adorable one!!!!
Muy pequenita y aunque luce agresiva, es adorable!!!

 A hot day but the breeze was blowing and making these hayseeds to move so nicely!!, isn't very notorious but believe me, was really nice!!
Un dia caliente pero la briza estaba soplando y haciendo que estas espigas se movieran super bonito!!, no es muy notorio, pero creanme, fue precioso!! 
 

 Can you see the blue herron? I took the picture after it landed there!! Pueden ver la garza azul? Tome la foto luego de que ''aterrizo'' alli!!

 Some apple trees coming back to the beach!! Algunos manzanos regresando a la playa.

 And between the sailing, the walks, the places, everything contributing for us to have a great long weekend!!
Y entre la navegada, las caminatas, los lugares, todo contribuyendo para que tuvieramos un grandioso fin de semana de puente!!

 Even the beauty of the wild flowers around!! Aun la belleza de las flores silvestres alrededor!!

 Because it doesn't matter where you look at, beauty is always around, we just need to look at it!!
Porque sin importar donde miremos, la belleza esta siempre a nuestro alrededor, simplemente tenemos que apreciarla!!

 And there she is, waiting for us!!! Y alli esta ella, esperando por nosotros!!!

 But we weren't  the only ones enjoying being there, this couple and their dog were really having fun as well!!
Pero no eramos los unicos disfrutando de estar alli, esta pareja y su perro tambien se estaban divirtiendo de lo lindo!!
